In a statement, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly denounced the terrorist attack in the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.).

Following the terrorist attack in the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) in Mashhad, which resulted in the martyrdom of two Jihadi (volunteer) clerics and the wounding of another, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly issued a condemnation statement.

The statement is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The terrorist attack on three Jihadi (volunteer) and serving clerics in the holy shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) caused the sorrow and concern of all the followers and admirers of the Prophet of Mercy (p.b.u.h) and Infallible AhlulBayt (a.s.).

Prior to the recent attack, takfiri elements had shown that they were not only devoid of human emotions and values, but also, contrary to their claims, they did not believe in Islam and Islamic values. Because they repeatedly desecrated the holy places and houses of God in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, etc., and killed the innocent people who had gathered in those places for prayer and worship. “وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَكَاذِبُونَ” (Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are indeed liars.) (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Munafiqun, Verse: 1).

While strongly condemning this incident, stressing that such provocative and seditionist actions do not disrupt the determination of the revolutionary clerics, nor do they cause ethnic and religious divisions, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasizes the need for Iranian citizens and Afghan refugees and asylum seekers to be vigilant against the sinister plans of global arrogance and international Zionism.

“Islamic unity” is the order of God and His Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the lasting legacy of Imam Ali (a.s.) who warned: “Satan makes his perversions easy for you. He wants to weaken your religion, instead of creating unity and harmony. He wants to create sedition through division. Now that he has such an intention, avoid his temptations and deceptions, and accept the advice from the one who presents it to you, and keep it firmly in your soul”, (Nahj al-Balagha, Sermon: 121, Section: Avoiding the Satan’s seditions). Therefore, by grabbing the Hablullah (God’s rope), we must foil the evil plans of the demons of humans and jinn.

The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly offer its condolences on heavenly ascension of the sincere Mujahid clerics, Martyr Aslani and Martyr Daraei, to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), as well as to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, seminaries, families of the deceased, and the people of Mashhad – especially the oppressed and the residents of the outskirts of the city who will always remember the love and efforts of these two martyrs.

For these two dear martyrs, we ask God to exalt them, and reunite them with Imam Reza (a.s.), and we ask for patience for their families and acquaintances. We also pray for the immediate healing of Hojat al-Islam Pakdaman.

وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ

(Do not suppose those who were slain in the way of Allah to be dead; no, they are living and provided for near their Lord) (Holy Quran, Surah: Al Imran, Verse: 169).
