Endurance, patience in the face of enemies, hardships, factors of victory of Islamic society: Ayatollah Ramazani
“The enemies of Islam want to destroy the Islamic society from within by creating a breach in the chastity of the youth. In the face of these attacks, it is our duty to maintain the family system and emphasize public decency,” said the Secretary-General of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly delivered a speech at the birth ceremony of Imam Ali (a.s.) in the presence of Shiites and the followers of this Imam on the night of Thursday, February 25, 2021, at the Assembly of Hazrat Fatemeh Al-Zahra (a.s.) in Syria.
“According to a narration of Imam Ali (a.s.), in order to strengthen the Islamic society, it is necessary to pay attention to four points: First, man must be pious. The Quran says that piety is the best clothing for man. A society without God would be naked and worthless. The enemies of Islam have always sought to erase the name of God because they seek to erase Islam. God’s name gives meaning to human life and the identity of society takes on a transcendent form in connection with God,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani in the ceremony.
“The West seeks to promote liberalism and indecency in Islamic society. To this end, the West has targeted our women, girls, youth, and families to separate them from God. Therefore, to create a healthy society, we must pay attention to the necessities,” he added.
“Islam opposes laziness. Therefore, the Qur'an advises us to do righteous deeds. “[to see] which of you is best in conduct” (Holy Quran 67:2) means to seek the best action, not the most action. The effort is the key to the success of Islamic society. In order to achieve a pure life, we must strive day and night, and this effort is not about the quantity of actions, but according to the Quran, we must also increase the quality of them,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, introducing ijtihad and effort as the second issue from Imam Ali’s point of view to strengthen the Islamic society.
“The third point in the statement of Imam Ali (a.s.) is “chastity and purity”. Imam Ali (a.s.) says, “Pure people are about to become angels”. Chastity is the adornment and beauty of divine life. Maintaining hijab and chastity is a must for girls and boys against the cultural invasion of the West. The enemies of Islam are trying to destroy the Islamic society from within by creating a breach in the chastity of the family through the youth. In the face of these attacks, it is our duty to maintain the family and emphasize public decency,” he continued.
“The fourth point from Imam Ali’s point of view to strengthen the Islamic society is “stability and endurance”. Everything we are going to do must be right and correct. That is, to pray correctly and pay zakat correctly, and so on. Therefore, we must be strong and powerful in performing our duties and avoiding Haram things. Therefore, endurance and patience in the face of enemies and hardships is another factor in the victory and success of Islamic society,” Ayatollah Ramazani also stated.
