In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)

The demise of Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Ali Alemi Balkhabi, a sage scholar, revolutionary mujahid, founder of Islamic Jihad in the northern regions of Afghanistan, caused grief and sorrow.

Ayatollah Alemi, who continued the path of his ancestors, who were among the first founders of the Shiite seminary and religious schools in Afghanistan, made great efforts to spread Islamic teachings and teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and also made great efforts in the field of jihad and Islamic struggles.

In recent years, he was the custodian of the shrine of Hazrat Yahya ibn Zayd Shahid (a.s.) in Sar-e Pol province, and made great efforts to revive its construction.

The expansion of religious schools, mosques and husseiniyahs and the support of missionaries have been part of the activities of Ayatollah Alemi Balkhabi.

The demise of this great scholar, who was known by all classes on his asceticism and piety, resistance and jihad, good morals and love for the AhlulBayt (a.s.), is a great and irreparable loss.

Expressing condolences to the family of the late Ayatollah Alemi, his son, Sayed Hayatullah Alemi, the representative of the people of Sar-e-Pol in the National Assembly of Afghanistan, the relatives, the seminaries of Afghanistan and all the devotees of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and his enthusiasts, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, prays for mercy and forgiveness from God, for that mujahid scholar, and for his family and relatives, patience and reward.
