In the closing ceremony of the 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the final statement was read.

The final statement of the 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was read in the closing ceremony. 

The full text of the statement is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

وَنُرِيدُ أَنْ نَمُنَّ عَلَى الَّذِينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِينَ (القرآن الکریم: سورة القصص، آیة: 5)

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“And We desired to show favour to those who were abased in the land, and to make them imams, and to make them the heirs” (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Qasas, Verse: 5)

With praise and gratitude to God, and peace and blessings upon his last Prophet, Muhammad Al-Mustafa (p.b.u.h) and his immaculate and infallible Family, under the auspicious of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and with the motto: “AhlulBayt  (a.s.); the axis of rationality, justice and dignity”, the 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was held in three days and concluded today, with the presence of hundreds of members and guests from 117 countries of the world.

This magnificent conference started with paying tribute to Imam Khomeini (r.a.) and ended with a friendly meeting of the members of the Assembly with the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei (May he live long).

In this large meeting, which was held with the aim of effectively helping to solve the problems of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) around the world, the participants expressed their issues in the four commissions of “Local Assemblies and Missionaries”, “Communications and Networking”, “Media and Cyberspace”, and “Economy of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.); so that, based on the transformational efforts in the new era of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, they pave the way for better situation for the Shiites.

In four sessions of “Science and Technology”, “World Developments”, “Women and Family” and “The Academics”, they also discussed and exchanged opinions with the elites of these fields.

At the closing ceremony of this international conference, by issuing this statement, while insisting on the unity of Muslims and protecting the integrity of the Islamic world, the members of the General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly announce the following points, as topics of their interest:

1. Networking and Communication: Since its inception, the main objective of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has been to create networks of AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers at different levels. Today, in a world where the structures are being degraded every day, the establishment of extensive communication between the communities of followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) in different parts of the world has become more important. Of course, these networks of communication not only help to solve the various problems of the Shiite communities, but also prevents extremist actions, and helps peaceful coexistence with the followers of other religions as well as Islamic denominations. Because, as the Supreme Leader of the Revolution emphasized in the meeting this morning, “As we said from the first day, the formation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly does not mean confrontation and enmity with the non-Shia”.

2. Local Assemblies: One of the achievements of the Assembly during the last thirty years is the formation of the institution of the clerics worldwide. Now, in the Second Phase (of the Islamic Revolution), structuring the Local Assemblies of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is one of the necessities that will lead to quantitative growth and qualitative improvement of their status.

3. Cyberspace: One of the issues that the communities following AhlulBayt (a.s.), like all the communities in the world today, are facing is cyberspace. Digital technology that has profound effects on all dimensions of people’s lives, along with its benefits, brings many threats and disadvantages. By planning and taking proper action, the Assembly must turn these threats into opportunities for its audience.

4. Family institution: Preserving the fundamental values ​​of the community of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.), which are based on the noble teachings of the Shiite school, is one of the main functions of the Assembly. Unfortunately, today due to the cultural invasion and the expansion of the Western promiscuous lifestyle some of these values ​​have been challenged. This is while the main component of the Islamic civilization compared to other civilizations is to give importance to the position of the family as a place of peace, compassion, upbringing and survival of the human race.

5. Education and knowledge: Another challenge that the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) are facing is education at both general and higher levels. So that in some countries, the average Shiite educated people are lower than the average education rate. With various measures in the next four years, the Assembly members expect tangible growth in this field.

6. Economy: Creating networks of economic activists following the AhlulBayt (a.s.) requires taking measures such as formulating comprehensive strategies, using the specialized and scientific power of the youth of different regions, drawing the attention of missionaries to the importance of the economic issue, and increasing awareness about cooperation, capacities and economic regulations, as well as the legal rules of production and trade. The Assembly must take necessary measures in this regard.

7. Resistance: The biggest crisis that the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) faced in the last decade was the emergence of Takfiri-terrorist movements like ISIS. This challenge had a direct impact on the situation of the Shiites, and even threatened our most sacred and revered places. However, the formation of the Resistance Front forces, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the command of Martyr General Hajj Qassem Soleimani, not only restored peace to Western Asia, but also prevented the spread of this sedition to Europe and the rest of the world. May God have mercy upon that beloved martyr and other Resistance commanders and Defenders of the Shrine.

At the end of this unique conference, we would like to express our gratitude to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all organizers of this great event.

We also appreciate the Secretary-General, Chairman and members of the Supreme Council, servicing managers and staff of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, that we have witnessed their compassionate efforts to host the guests of the 7^th General Assembly.

We ask God Almighty for great success for these dear ones and all the servants of the Islamic Ummah, and we hope to witness the fruits of the present conference in the 8^th General Assembly.
