Abu Talib symbol of virtues, played strategic role in Islamic history: Ayatollah Arafi

Head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary said, “We need a comprehensive academic source for different levels of seminary, university, and the young generation. One of the results of the “International Conference of Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” should be a significant academic source for clerics, students, and youth.”

As the “International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” approached, the head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary in Qom, Ayatollah “Alireza Arafi”, accepted a group of organizers of this academic event.

Condoling the mourning days for the martyrdom of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (a.s.), in the session Ayatollah Arafi, emphasized the importance of presenting magnificent scholarly works related to the life of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and said, “I appreciate and thank the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and those who are preparing for this blessed conference.”

According to Hawza News Agency, considering the cooperation for holding the conference of Abu Talib (a.s.) as a task, based on religion, Sharia, and Islam, the head of Iran’s Islamic Seminary in Qom said, “Involvement in these issues should be considered from two perspectives: Minor, within the Shiites, and Major in Islamic Ummah in general.”

“Designs should be aimed at consolidating beliefs, strengthening poems (of Hazrat Abu Talib), and responding to doubts about him, and the Secretariat of the conference should have a strategic, active, inclusive, and non-controversial approach.” He said.

“This blessed conference should be a turning point for introducing the spiritual character of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) in the society,” said a member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, “It is a very blessed thing to take your words from the words of others. Cooperating with the slogan and elders and receiving various theories, will open the way of thinking and style of Abu Talib and reduce sensitivities.”

“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was a symbol of a set of virtues and he has played a strategic role in historical moments”, he stated, “Given that, the entire Muslim nation owes him.”

“We need a comprehensive academic source for different levels of seminary, university, and the young generation. One of the results of the “International Conference of Abu Talib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” should be a significant academic source for clerics, students, and youth.” He said, pointing out the role of Abu Talib in the protection of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), and the shining of Islam.

“Familiarizing the young generation of the seminary with Persian and Arabic poetry and literature is one of the important missions of the Poetry and Literature Association in seminaries.” Pointing to the activation of the Poetry and Literature Association in seminaries, he stated, “The conference secretariat can benefit the capacity of the Association.”

“It is possible to present the collection of outstanding contents (on Hazrat Abu Talib) in educational texts.” Stated Ayatollah Arafi, emphasizing the utilization of the field of studies and academic orientations of the Islamic Seminary.

“Today, for various reasons, 200,000 university students have studied in 45 seminary disciplines at the universities. That is, as many clerics in the Islamic seminary as there are university graduates who have studied in common fields with the seminary. This can create a huge capacity for an audience community.” He stated, emphasizing the high capacity of the education and university audience.

In another part of his speech, Ayatollah Arafi emphasized the importance of seminary dissertations, discourse-making, and their publication in seminaries.

At the beginning of the session, Deputy Secretary General and Deputy of Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Hujat al-Islam Ahmadi Tabar, presented a report on the activities of the Assembly for holding the conference of Abu Talib (a.s.).

It should be mentioned that by the initiation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and support and cooperation of the similar institutions, including, “Imam Hossein (a.s.) Holy Shrine”, “Hazrat Aboutaleb Research and Publishing Institute”, “The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought”, “Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy of Islamic Propagation Office”, “Al-Mustafa International University”, “Hawza Language teaching center”, “International University of AhlulBayt (a.s.)”, “Mirath-e Nabowat Cultural Institute”, “Jamiat al-Zahra Seminary University”, “Zorria al-Nabawia Research Center”, “Qasem ibn al-Hassan (a.s.) Religious-Cultural Institute”, and “Abna al-Rasoul Cultural and Artistic Institute”; international conference “Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” will be held on Rajab 25, 26 and 27, 1442 (March 9, 10 and 11, 2021) on the anniversary of the death of Abu Talib (a.s.).

The deadline for submitting academic works and articles to this conference has been extended until February 18, 2021.
