In a message, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani expressed his condolences on the demise of Ayatollah Nurullah Shahabadi.

ABWA Official Website – In a message, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, expressed his condolences on the demise of Ayatollah Nurullah Shahabadi, the son of the late Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Shahabadi, the teacher of Maaref of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.).

Part of this message reads, “Ayatollah Nurullah Shahabadi, the son of Grand Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shahabadi (r.a.), the teacher of Maaref of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), benefited from his honorable father, as well as other great, learned, and mystic professors in his personal and mystical life.”

The message is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)

I offer my condolences on the demise of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Nurullah Shahabadi (r.a.), to the respected family of Shahabadi, as well as to his students and enthusiasts.

Ayatollah Nurullah Shahabadi, the son of Grand Ayatollah Hajj Sheikh Mohammad Ali Shahabadi (r.a.), the teacher of Maaref of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), benefited from his honorable father, as well as other great, learned, and mystic professors in his personal and mystical life.

Teaching in seminaries and Alavi School of Iraq and Musawi School of Tehran, being the head of the Islamic Institute of London, authoring, commenting, and translating dozens of valuable and lasting scientific works, as well as his gentle poetic style in expressing his devotion to the Infallible and Immaculate AhlulBayt (a.s.), shows his great status in the fields of ethics, education, and knowledge.

I pray for the soul of this divine scientist, God’s mercy and forgiveness, and patience and reward for the respected family of Shahabadi, and his enthusiasts, students, and relatives.

May God have mercy on him and us

Ayatollah Nurullah Shahabadi, one of the ethics professors of the seminary, passed away on the Thursday dawn of April 19, 2023, corresponding to Ramadan 29, 1444, at the age of 93, after a lifetime of service, authoring valuable works, and teaching students.
