In a message, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the Chairman of the Ashura International Foundation expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Abbas Ali Soleimani.

ABWA Official Website – In a message, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the Chairman of the Ashura International Foundation expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Abbas Ali Soleimani.

The message is as follows:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ قَضَىٰ نَحْبَهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ يَنْتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلًا

“Among the faithful are men who fulfill what they have pledged to Allah: there are some among them who have fulfilled their pledge, and some of them who still wait, and they have not changed in the least,” (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Ahzab, Verse: 23)

The tragic martyrdom of the pious scholar, a powerful orator, and a popular cleric, Ayatollah Haj Sheikh Abbas Ali Soleimani, caused grief and sorrow.

Just after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the blessed deceased was present in various scenes – from the Jihad of Construction and Holy Defense (Iraq-Iran 8-year imposed war) to the Supreme Leader Representation in Universities and the Assembly of Experts for Leadership – and served the martyr-nurturing nation of Iran.

At different times, as the Friday Imam of Babolsar, Zahedan, and Kashan, and the representative of the Supreme Leader in Sistan and Baluchistan province for many years he made very effective efforts to strengthen the unity of Shiites and Sunnis.

The late Ayatollah Soleimani also had good manners and many moral virtues, and his sincere and kind attitude attracted people to him.

He was very fond of martyrdom, so he always asked Almighty God to become a martyr and join the caravan of martyrs. He worked diligently to serve the respected families of martyrs and veterans, and to honor them, he traveled from one province to another, and eventually, he achieved the blessing of martyrdom.

I offer my condolences on this irreparable loss to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Maraje’ (Sources of Emulation), the martyr-nurturing nation of Iran, especially the people of Mazandaran and Sistan and Baluchistan provinces, his enthusiasts, and his family members.

I pray to the merciful God to reunite this servant scholar with the master of martyrs, Imam Hussain (a.s.), and grant patience and peace to his bereaved family members.

إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

“Indeed, we belong to Allah and to Him do we indeed return” (Holy Quran 2:156)
