Ayatollah Ramazani offered his condolences on demise of Ayatollah Rayshahri

While condoling the demise of Ayatollah Rayshahri, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “The valuable actions of the late Rayshahri are the remnants of the righteous for him and make him one of the examples of the hadith of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and those who tried to preserve and disseminate the tradition of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).”

In a message, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, expressed his condolences on the demise of mujahid scholar, Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Rayshahri, a member of the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

Part of this message reads, “The valuable actions of the late Rayshahri are the remnants of the righteous for him and make him one of the examples of the hadith of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) and those who tried to preserve and disseminate the tradition of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).”

The message of the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is as follows:

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h): Whoever memorizes forty hadiths for my nation to benefit from them, God will resurrect him a Faqih and scholar on the Day of Resurrection.

The demise of the mujahid scholar, the servicing cleric, the memorizer of the Holy Quran and the collector of noble hadiths, Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Rayshahri, caused a grief and regret.

The deceased, who was one of the pioneers in the struggle for the Islamic movement of the Iranian people, endured the hardships of imprisonment and exile, and after the victory of the Revolution, he passed the difficult tests with pride in the way of loyalty to Imam Khomeini and the Ayatollah Khamenei.

He served the Islamic Republic of Iran in important judicial positions, such as the Islamic Revolutionary Court, the Army Revolutionary Court, and the Attorney General, as well as in political positions such as the Ministry of Intelligence, the Assembly of Experts, and the Secretary-General of the Society for the Defense of Islamic Revolution Values.

The establishment and administration of the Dar al-Hadith, the custodianship of the shrine of Abd al-Azim al-Hasani (a.s.), the representation of the Supreme Leader in the Hajj and pilgrimage affairs for many years, were also among the religious and cultural services of the deceased.

Valuable works of the late Rayshahri in Dar al-Hadith - such as compiling and publishing valuable encyclopedias Mizan al-Hikma, Encyclopedia of Amir al-Momenin (a.s.), Encyclopedia of Imam Hussain (a.s.), Encyclopedia of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), as well as training educating hundreds of students and scholars in Quranic and Narrative fields of study- is the remnant of the righteous for him, and make him one of the examples of hadith from the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), and among those who tried to preserve and spread the tradition of the AhlulBayt (a.s.).

His active presence in the field of the Jihad of Enlightenment, and written enlightening on the events that took place for the Iran’s Revolution and country in the inflammatory years of the 1980s, is another lasting service of that educated scholar that continued until the last year of his life despite his health conditions.

I offer my condolences to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), as well as the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, seminaries and his comrades, colleagues, and students, especially his children and relatives, for the loss of this sincere and unique figure, and I ask God Almighty for mercy for the deceased, and patience for all his relatives.
