The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Justice has been the wish and hope of all divine prophets, and in this era, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could fulfill this wish with his reviving breath; it means moving towards freedom, spirituality, and justice. This is the important point that Imam was looking for, and we should strive for and reach it.”

ABWA Official Website – On Saturday, June 3, 2023, a ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) was held in the presence of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, at the Imam Khomeini Sports Cultural Complex.

In his speech at this ceremony, which was held with the presence of more than 600 students of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, the Secretary General of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Today, many people of the world from different countries, from Africa to Europe and Americas, and from the east to the west of the world, with different nationalities, talk about the greatness and status of Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the man who changed the world.”

“Many scholars have confirmed the greatness of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.),” he added, “On the one hand, the great politicians of the world honor him, and on the other hand, Christian scholars have said that he gave them life again with his reviving breath like Christ.”

“In the East, with the formation and promotion of the thoughts of Marx and Lenin, efforts were made to erase religion from the human life spheres. They regarded religion as the opium of the people and believed that it would become isolated in the future world and would have no adherents. Some people also considered religion as superstition,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“On the other hand, in the West, some tried to destroy religion by promoting atheistic ideas. Although they failed to do so, their attacks ultimately led to the restriction of religion and the promotion of secular views,” he added.

“The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) taught us that religion (Islam) does not only have an individual function, but the social function of religion should be studied, and our approach to religion must change. With such a view, Imam Khomeini changed the thought of contemporary Muslims,” Ayatollah Ramazani expressed.

“Justice has been the wish and hope of all divine prophets, and in this era, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) could fulfill this wish with his reviving breath; it means moving towards freedom, spirituality, and justice. This is the important point that Imam was looking for, and we should strive for and reach it,” stated the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Addressing the students of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Ayatollah Ramazani concluded, “For the realization of the great hopes of divine prophets, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) relied on people like you. In the letter that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution wrote to the European and American youth, he mentioned the African youth and said that Africa has great potential. You can crystallize this potential power of yours through self-purification, guiding others and society. You have come from the farthest regions of the world to the Motherland of Islam (that is Iran). We have the duty to convey the Quranic verses and hadiths to you in the best way in the field of education. If the religion (Islam) is properly taught to society, the future of humanity will belong to the true believers. The winners are those who introduce the best thought, ethics, behavior, politics, and economy to the world, and present the best human dignity to the world.”
