The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life in Karbala to eradicate ignorance from the people. Ignorance is the biggest enemy of humanity. Therefore, it is our duty to correctly know and introduce Islam.”

ABWA Official Website – At the Unity of Nation conference, while referring to the services of Hojat al-Islam Mahdavipour, the Supreme Leader’s representative in India, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “The representative of Imam Khamenei, who is present at this meeting, can literally be called the servant of Islam. He is the representative of Marjaiat and Velayat-e Faqih in India.”

“There are many Quranic verses and hadiths from the Prophet (p.b.u.h) about AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he continued, “In historical books and Sihah Sitta (six prominent hadith books of Sunni ulama), AhlulBayt (a.s.) has been discussed in detail. The book Fadael al-Khumsa (virtues of the Five People of the Cloak), which was collected from Sihah Sitta on the virtues of the Five People of the Cloak (Prophet, Imam Ali, Lady Fatimah, Imam Hassan and Imam Hussain), proves the existence of many hadiths in the books of Sunnis on the virtues of the AhlulBayt (a.s.). Sunni and Shiite have consensus that the Mubahala verse refers to the of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) in which Imam Ali (a.s.) is the soul of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), Imam Hassan (a.s.) and Imam Hussain (a.s.) are the children of the Prophet, and Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) is the Prophet’s daughter.”

“When the Verse of Purification was revealed, it is mentioned in some hadiths that from forty days to one year, the Prophet used to greet people in the house of AhlulBayt (a.s.) and say, “Peace be upon you, family of the Prophet”. Or Verse of Mawadda, which teaches the Prophet (p.b.u.h) to tell the people that he does not want any reward from them, except for loving his relatives and family, in recognition of 23 years of toil and effort and enduring sufferings that no other prophet endured like him. Therefore, the Prophet told all Muslims to fulfill the right of AhlulBayt (a.s.). The right of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is very important and it is very crucial to know it. We must recognize this right and fulfill it,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the importance of the love of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “The love for AhlulBayt (a.s.) is so important that the Prophet said that it is equivalent to love for God. If someone has the love of AhlulBayt (a.s.), in the literal sense of the word, God loves him. It has been narrated about Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) that the Prophet (p.b.u.h) told Salman that loving Lady Zahra (a.s.) will help a person in a hundred places, the closest of which is when a person enters his grave and sees the darkness, and when Nakir and Mankar come and ask him questions. There, the love of Lady Zahra (a.s.) will help people.”

“Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) is very dear to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and God. She came to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and said, “Your ummah will be tormented on the Day of Judgment. I make a request to God”. God said to Gabriel, “Tell the Prophet (p.b.u.h) that I will grant whatever Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.) wants”. The Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked his daughter Fatimah Zahra (a.s.), “What do you want?”. She said, “I want to intercede for your Ummah before God”. God said to Gabriel, “Tell the Prophet that I gave Lady Zahra (a.s.) what she asked for”. Therefore, Lady Zahra (a.s.) is called “The intercessor of the day of judgment”,” he continued.

“Two things must accompany love; one is before love and the other is after love. What is necessary before love is knowledge. We should increase our knowledge and understanding about AhlulBayt (a.s.). The other is obedience, which comes after love. So, the first is knowledge, the second is love and the third is obedience. One of our duties as Muslims is to introduce the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and AhlulBayt (a.s.) with our behavior,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Pointing out the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “One of the most important teachings of this school is the awakening of Muslims. Muslims should be aware of their individual and social duties. They should not allow extreme approach and excesses towards Islam. Some are trying to attack religion with extreme approach and excesses. Imam Ali (a.s.) said, “A time will come when Islam will be turned upside down so that nothing will remain of it”. Some people want Islam without prayer, fasting, zakat and enjoining the good (and forbidding the evil) and seek to close the Islamic Sharia. Muslims should not allow Islamic Sharia and rules to be closed.”

“The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “A time will come when only the name of Islam will remain, and only the text of Quran will remain”. The Quran is not followed, and its verses are not paid attention to. Some may recite some verses of the Quran, but do not pay attention to act according to it. Thirty years after the demise of the Prophet (p.b.u.h1), they speared the Quran, and after 50 years, the head of Imam Hussain (a.s.), who was the speaking Quran and was from the AhlulBayt (a.s.), was speared. A time will come when they will not value the Quran. In a narration in Nahj al-Balagha, Imam Ali (a.s.) said, “I complain about people who live with ignorance and their death is also accompanied by ignorance. At that time, the Quran becomes valueless in the eyes of people, and what is evil becomes valuable in the eyes of people; the Quran will be ignore; a book that is the greatest to guide humanity”,” he continued.

“Imam Hussain (a.s.) sacrificed his life in Karbala to eradicate ignorance from the people. Ignorance is the biggest enemy of humanity. Therefore, it is our duty to correctly know and introduce Islam and remove superstitious from it. Today, some are promoting Islamophobia. They don’t even have a basic understanding of Islam and behead people by mentioning God’s name and saying Allahu Akbar! They have nothing to do with Islam and are a product of Western colonialism. Therefore, awakening and awareness is the key to the victory of the society. With its awakening, the nation of India stood up against colonialism and saved its country from slavery and achieved true independence. Of course, independence is a stage and preserving it is not less important, if not more important than independence itself. This is a successful experience that the nation of India has gained. Allama Iqbal, as a reformist of the society, emphasized the revival of Quranic verses that lead to human life. According to the Quranic verse “يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ” (Holy Quran, Surah: Al-Anfal, Verse: 24) (O you who have faith! Answer Allah and the Apostle when he summons you to that which will give you life), The reform of society depends on the awakening of a nation,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to Gandhi, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “In the same way that Gandhi learned from Imam Hussain (a.s.) to save humanity, we also learned from Imam Hussain (a.s.) in Iran and dismantled oppression, and created a miracle in the current world society, namely the Islamic Revolution of Iran. This Revolution is progressing day by day with glory, and its science, knowledge and power are increasing, and it reaches a stage where today’s world powers invite Iran to negotiate on various issues. This is due to the scientific and military power that Iran has gained. We hope that we will be able to stand and confront colonialism in today’s world, which seeks to confront humanity and nations.”

“Not only the unity between Sunni and Shiite, but also the unity between Abrahamic religions and human religions is what we believe, and it is one of the necessities of the current society. This is not a tactic, but a belief and we must strengthen it,” he mentioned in the end. /345/
