Shiite Marjaiat, knowledge boundary in West: Alizadeh Musawi

Regarding the boundaries of knowledge in the West, the deputy of research affairs of “Al-Bayan Institute” stated, “Shiite Marjaiat is one of the boundaries of knowledge in the West, and Westerners study it with their own method, approach and perspective.”

ABWA Official Website – On Tuesday evening, January 3, 2023, on the sideline of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, the session “Introduction of the Shia in International Arena; Opportunities and Challenges” was held in the Ghadir Conference Hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary in Qom, participating the seminary professors.

In this session, referring to the importance of knowing the atmosphere of the West, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hamed Alizadeh Musawi said, “One of the most important steps to be taken regarding international activities is to learn about the position of Westerners, and defining the boundaries of knowledge. We do not know the boundaries of knowledge in the West.”

“The observation that was made in this regard, sowed that Shiite studies are being conducted at the University of Birmingham, and projects in this regard have been defined there,” he continued.

“Shiite Marjaiat is one of the boundaries of knowledge in the West, and Westerners study it with their own method, approach and perspective,” expressed the deputy of research affairs of “Al-Bayan Institute” on the boundaries of knowledge in the West.

“Quranic studies are being conducted in the West,” Alizadeh Musawi noted, “We need to get to know the approach of Westerners regarding Quranic studies in the West, and to criticize their studies in this field of study, we must first criticize the very approach. In the West, the conditions for academic Quranic studies are available.”

It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.

It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.

The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
