The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “AhlulBayt (a.s.) are the axis of unity. With the proper recognition and introduction of AhlulBayt (a.s.), rationality will prevail in the society.”

On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, the session “Science and Technology Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran” was held at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University with the presence of participants of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In this meeting, referring to the importance of science, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “For a society, science brings authority. According to Hadiths, paying attention to science is one of the necessities for the progress of Islamic society.”

“In the statement of the second phase of the Revolution – issued by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution – issues like ethics and justice have been emphasized. All divine prophets paid the price of justice so that they could lead the human society to justice. The stability of society depends on establishing justice,” he continued.

“Along with ethics, spirituality and lifestyle, knowledge is the software of Islamic society. By studying verses and hadiths about knowledge, we see that in Islamic society, people are either scholars, learners, or knowledge enthusiasts. According to Islamic values, the ideal society is such a society,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“AhlulBayt (a.s.) University is an international university for those who are interested in studying in Iran. In 1979, something happened in Iran that no one believed, and that was the victory of the Islamic Revolution. Imam Khomeini (r.a.) believed that the Revolution must be happened. Islamic Revolution of Iran was a miracle and victory of light,” stated Ayatollah Ramazani, referring to Ahl al-Bayt University.

“The Islamic Revolution of Iran took place in the postmodern era. Imam Khomeini (r.a.) believed that Islam should be understood and implemented in a complete way. The socio-political aspect of Islam is one of the important and vital fields for the survival and realization of religion in society. The view of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) of religion was a maximalist, in which he sees religion as not only the guardian of the hereafter, but also the guardian of all areas of human existence,” he continued.

“According to reason, man should have religion, and follow someone who has relation with unseen world, and conveys the divine message to him for the felicity of mankind,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“AhlulBayt (a.s.) University has great objectives. This university seeks to educate pious, well-mannered, and scientific personnel. Today, AhlulBayt (a.s.) University is far from its objectives, but it is a young university and has started its movement to realize its objectives,” Ayatollah Ramazani clarified.

“AhlulBayt (a.s.) University must acquire international scientific standards and seek to recognize and fulfill the requirements of manpower training in the international arena. This university must have a transformation document. The planning is the beacon of movement and transformation, and special attention should be paid to it. Specialist and pious people should be trained in this university who can be influential people in their regions,” he continued.

“AhlulBayt (a.s.) are the axis of unity. By knowing the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and introducing them correctly, rationality will prevail in the society. According to hadiths, reason has been emphasized by AhlulBayt (a.s.),” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the need to introduce the AhlulBayt (a.s.) comprehensively, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “We have failed to introduce all aspects and practical life of AhlulBayt (a.s.). The Infallibles (a.s.) were perfect human beings and models to follow in all aspects.

“The world is thirsty for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings. Today, religion and spirituality have regained their credibility in the world. So that the return of the western world to religion can be seen. But in many cases, this movement is deviated by the introduction of fake spiritualities. The spirituality that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) offered us introduces a higher truth, that is, God, a truth that brings man from sensual life to intuitive life,” he continued.

“Today, one of the dangers that our society is facing is the promotion of Machiavellian view that approves the use of any means to enhance power, wealth and profiteering. This view destroys all religious values, ​​and accordingly the originality of material benefit will rule. Today’s society needs students who have expertise and commitment simultaneously and are educated in a scientific and ethical environment. To achieve this goal, we should use all the available tools and use all our efforts,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Imam Hussain (a.s.) is the Imam of humanity. With this view to Imam Hussain (a.s.), wherever we introduce this infallible Imam properly, people will love him,” Ayatollah Ramazani clarified.

Imam Khomeini (r.a.) was a divine reserve and like Christ revived our lives,” he said in the end.
