In a statement, the Afghanistan’s AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly denounced the terrorist attack on the worshipers in Imam Zaman (a.s.) Mosque in Pol-e-Khomri city of the country.

The statement is as follows:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا ﴿نساء۹۳﴾

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Should anyone kill a believer intentionally, his requital shall be hell, to remain in it [forever]; Allah shall be wrathful at him and curse him and He shall prepare for him a great punishment. (Holy Quran, Surah: An-Nisa, Verse: 93)

Once again, the dirty and blood-stained hands of the terrorists created a disaster and massacred the faithful worshipers in the house of God while performing divine worship (Friday prayer) and perpetuated a historical shame for themselves.

There is no doubt that such a terrorist attack, that is against civilians while performing a divine duty, is one of the examples of Ifsad fi al-Arz (Corruption on Earth) and war against God. In the Hereafter, God Almighty has prepared for them a great punishment, His wrath and curse, and eternity in the fire of Hell. In this world as well, these Khawarij of age and time should be identified and severely punished in public, so that it will be a lesson for their like-minded people!

Afghanistan’s AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly considers the terrorist attack on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the Imam Zaman (a.s.) Mosque in Pol-e-Khomri, which led to the martyrdom and wounding of dozens of worshipers, including the wounding of Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mohammad Baqer Hashemi, a servant figure and one of the prominent and well-known ulama and the head of the Shiite Ulema Council of Afghanistan and the Friday prayer leader of Baghlan, a heinous act against humane and Islamic standards, and strongly condemns and denounces it.

While offering condolences on this great calamity to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the nation of Afghanistan, and the families of the martyrs and victims of the attack, Afghanistan’s AhlulBayt (a.s.) Lovers Assembly asks God Almighty for the highest degrees for the martyrs, speedy recovery and full health for the wounded, and peace and safety for the country and the people of Afghanistan.
