The ceremony of the new academic year of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University was held in the conference hall of the university with the presence of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

ABWA Official Website – On Monday, September 25, 2023, the commencement ceremony of the academic year 1403-1402 (2023-2024) of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University was held in the conference hall of the university with the presence of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

At the beginning of the ceremony Hojat al-Islam, Dr. Saeed Jazari Ma’moui, the president of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University presented a report on the activities of the university.

“The path we took last year was successful. In terms of enrolling students from different nationalities, the university has become diverse. This is a great opportunity at the university. We are one of the few academic centers in Iran that host students from different countries,” he said.

“We held various conferences and Arbaeen Walk with the participation of more than eighty students. This, for the first time, registered a big score for the university,” he continued.

“Today, we have 78 faculty members, which is in addition to the visiting professors we host at the university. The courses available in the university were based on needs assessment, and thus, six courses were added to the university this year,” Dr. Jazzari said.

“Our main mission is to train and educate the elite AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers from different countries. Previously, we saw our scope of activity as wider. But today we try to make this circle exclusive to the elite. Together with the honorable Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, I had trips to several countries. The Secretary General’s view of these trips is based on very special priorities,” he said, explaining the goals of establishing AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University.

“About language laboratory, our objective is to become one of the academic brands in the country. God willing, this laboratory will be opened very soon. Also, we managed to get permission from the Ministry of Science and other international organizations to hold scientific-promotional conferences,” said the president of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University.

“This year, AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University will hold an international conference with the participation of more than 40 countries,” he said at the end of his speech.
