General Director of Cultural Services and Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The approach of “Lights of Guidance” exhibition is to create transformation, and the transformation occurs by getting to know, introducing and identifying each other’s capacities.”
ABWA Official Website – On the sidelines of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, ABNA reporter interviewed Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mohammad Reza Al-e Ayyub, General Director of Cultural Services and Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Regarding the objectives of holding the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, Hojat al-Islam Al-e Ayyub stated, “Considering that the Supreme Leader called for transformation in the appointment decree of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the approach of “Lights of Guidance” exhibition is to create transformation, and the transformation occurs by getting to know, introducing and identifying each other’s capacities.”
“On the other hand, in its new approach, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly seeks to identify institutions, centers, and organizations that are in line with the objectives of the Assembly. We organized the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition so that the Assembly and other institutions can get to know each other’s capacities to have useful and effective international activities,” he added.
Regarding the process of holding the Lights of Guidance” exhibition, the General Director of Cultural Services and Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “We were supposed to hold the exhibition during National Research Week. But considering that the institutions and centers are busy during the Research Week, it was decided that the exhibition will be held on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in January. Therefore, the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition was opened on December 31, 2022, and welcomes visitors until Thursday, January 5, 2023.”
Regarding the characteristics of the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition, “Such an exhibition is rare or unique in seminaries and cultural institutions. It is the first time that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has organized such an exhibition.”
“The institutions and centers that participated in the exhibition are independent and not affiliated with the government or any particular institution. Most of the participating institutions and centers are managed and supported voluntarily by scientific and cultural figures. Also, centers from different nationalities, continents and countries are participating in the exhibition,” continued Hojat al-Islam Al-e Ayyub.
“We invited centers and institutions to participate in the exhibition that are active in the fields that we felt the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) need in research, education, media and virtual space in today’s world,” he said about the variety of institutions invited to the exhibition.
Regarding the feedback and reception of the exhibition for the visitors, the General Director of Cultural Services and Publications of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “So far, dozens of visitors came to me and praised the action of the Assembly in holding this exhibition. In this regard, the officials of institutions and centers that have booths in the exhibition said, “We wished that one day one of the organizations would do such a valuable service and introduce us.” These feedbacks indicate that the absence of such work was felt, and it was necessary.”
Regarding the holding the “Lights of Guidance” exhibition in the coming years, he said, “After the end of the exhibition, we have to analyze and assess the damages and capacities. If God grant us success, we will hold the exhibition next year with the efforts and participation of different institutions. Some institutions from different countries called and said that they did not know about the exhibition and requested to have a booth at the exhibition. God willing, if we decide to hold an exhibition next year, we will invite many centers.”
Also, referring to the holding of several scientific sessions on the sidelines of the exhibition, Hojat al-Islam Al-e Ayyub said, “In addition to the activities of the exhibition, January 3, the martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, will be commemorated in the exhibition.”
It should be mentioned that on the establishment anniversary of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, the exhibition of the achievements of institutions and organizations active in the international propagation of Islam, entitled “Lights of Guidance” is being held from Saturday, December 31, 2022, until January Thursday 5, 2023, in the conference hall of the Islamic Propagation Office of the Seminary.
It is also worth noting that the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly was established on December 31, 1990, with the aim of gathering Shiites, establishing relationships within the Shiite world, promoting Shiites seminaries, solving the problems of Shiites with other Islamic Denominations, and benefiting from real and legal capabilities of Shiites.
The Assembly was established by the order of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on December 25, 1990, with the aim of introducing the revolutionary foundations, and thought of the Islamic system of Iran to Shiites all over the world. /345/
