Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), role model of brotherhood and approximation of Islamic world: Hojat al-Islam Madani
“Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is considered the role model of brotherhood and approximation of the Islamic world. Because the conference is international, researchers from across borders should be consulted”, the president of Jamiat al-Zahra said.
The president of Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University, Hojat al-Islam “Sayed Mahmoud Madani Bajestani”, received a group of members of the Academic Committee of the International Conference of “Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); the supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)”.
The meeting, which was held on Saturday, April 20, 2019, was attended by Dr. Imani Moghadam, Dr. Motahhari, Dr. Zare Mohaghegh Khourmizi, and Mr. Jafari Farahani.
At the beginning of the meeting, congratulating Sha’banya Eves, the chairman of the Deputy of Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Imani Moghadam, introduced the Conference and its goals, academic committee, academic branches, and commissions.
Referring to the four commissions of “History and Life”, “Theology and Beliefs”, “Poetry and Literature” and “Authors”, he reports on reviewing the proposed books, calling the articles, holding meetings, and launching a special website for the conference.
Presenting a report on the meetings of the Academic Council and the organizers of the conference with the sources of the emulation Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani, Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani, and Messrs. Ayatollah Araki and Hojat al-Islam Shahrestani (representative of Ayatollah Sistani), he narrates their positive comments on the conference.
Following in the meeting, Hojat al-Islam “Abbas Jafari Farahani, the secretary of the conference, described the activities carried out and ongoing by the secretariat and presented a report on the cooperation of various organizations, including Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University, Al-Mustafa International University (p.b.u.h), etc. with the conference.
“Theses and articles submitted to the conference are under review. But since the opportunity to submit articles is October 22, 2019, we are waiting for more articles from researchers”, he said.
“Works and books are also about to be published, which number up to 20 titles so far. Meetings are also planned to be held in different cities such as the holy city of Mashhad and some other cities and regions. A meeting was also held in cooperation with Ms. Dr. Haqqani and Ms. Salehi in Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University”, continued Jafari Farahani.
Then, congratulating the Eids and appreciating the officials of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly who have participated in the Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University in holding the International conference of Abu Talib (a.s.), the chair of the Research of the University, Ms. Dr. Reyhaneh Haqqani reported on the activities of the Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University Research Institute, in the field of Academic call of the conference.
She also explained about holding a pre-meeting for the choosing topics with some members of the Conference Academic Committee, organizing a thematic workshop for writing articles, series of essay writing skills sessions, and creating history and theology working groups and directing the writing of articles to the conference.
Then in the meeting, pointing to the importance of the efforts of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) in defending the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), the president of Jamiat al-Zahra (a.s.) University, Hojat al-Islam Madani Bajestani appreciated the actions taken by the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) World Assembly and cooperation and participation of other organizations.
He also described Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) as the role model of brotherhood and approximation of the Islamic World, and emphasizing the importance of attracting more audiences said, “Due to the international nature of this conference, the international affairs of the institutions should be consulted and researchers across borders should be benefited.”
He, who was the representative of the Supreme Leader in the UAE for many years, also shared a memory about supporting the publication of an important book by an Egyptian author about the faith of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) and said, “After the publishing the book, I sent a copy to the Supreme Leader, who welcomed the book and encouraged it.”
Referring to the death sentence handed down (by the Saudi regime) against Sheikh “Abdullah Khonizi Qatifi”, the author of the book “Abu Talib (a.s.), Mo'men Quraysh” (Abu Talib the Believer of the Quraysh), Madani Bajestani also suggested, “It is appropriate that the republishing the book be on the agenda of the conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), and if possible, the author should be invited to participate in the conference.”
Addressing the people who were present in the meeting, he also narrated the story of honoring one of the scholars of South Khorasan to meet Imam Hassan Askari (a.s.) and Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and those nobles’ advice and order to him to pilgrimage the Hajj and appeal to Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) to be healed from cancer.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Jamiat Al-Zahra University advised the chair of the Research of the Seminarian University to invite the students of the International Department and other scholars related to Al-Zahra University to participate in the Academic cooperation with the conference.
It should be mentioned that by the initiation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and support and cooperation of the similar institutions, including, “Imam Hossein (a.s.) Holy Shrine”, “Hazrat Aboutaleb Research and Publishing Institute”, “The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought”, “Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy of Islamic Propagation Office”, “Al-Mustafa International University”, “Hawza Language teaching center”, “International University of AhlulBayt (a.s.)”, “Mirath-e Nabowat Cultural Institute”, “Jamiat al-Zahra Seminary University”, “Zorria al-Nabawia Research Center”, “Qasem ibn al-Hassan (a.s.) Religious-Cultural Institute”, and “Abna al-Rasoul Cultural and Artistic Institute”; international conference “Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” will be held on Rajab 25, 26 and 27, 1442 (March 9, 10 and 11, 2021) on the anniversary of the death of Abu Talib (a.s.).
The deadline for submitting academic works and articles to this conference has been extended until February 18, 2021.
