AhlulBayt (a.s.) want Shiites to be strong/ Shiites should be equipped with up-to-date knowledge: Sayed Hassan Khomeini

Sayed Hassan Khomeini stated, “The Infallibles (a.s.) have emphasized that we must adhere to Sharia morals and behavior.”

On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, the session “Science and Technology Diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran” was held at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University with the presence of participants of the 7th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

In this session, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hassan Khomeini stated, “We can point to 5 behavioral principles in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, and we can summarize the concepts of the culture of Infallible Imams (a.s.) in 5 behavioral principles. The first of them is Sharia. The Infallibles (a.s.) have emphasized that we must adhere to Sharia morals and behavior.”

“According to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, we cannot set aside part of the (Sharia) rulings (and choose the rulings that we want). The highest worshipers were Imams (a.s.). Imam Sajjad (a.s.) prays a thousand Rak'at. Imam Hassan (a.s.) went to Hajj pilgrimage several times on foot. Imam Sajjad (a.s.) was crying (out of fear of God). Therefore, the first important pillar of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school is to observe the Sharia, Ahkam and Halal and Haram of God. Imam Khomeini observed the halal and the haram with all his heart. At the end of his life, Imam Khomeini cried so much out of fear of God that he needed a towel to wipe his tears. During his exile in Iraq, he used to go to pilgrimage of Imam Ali (a.s.) every night in the city of Najaf. Also, in the month of Muharram, he used to go to pilgrimage of Imam Hussain (a.s.) twice. Throughout his life, Imam Khomeini adhered to prayer, fasting and everything that was mentioned in the Resalah Amaliyah,” he added.

On the second behavioral principle of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hassan Khomeini said, “The second important behavioral pillar of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is their adherence to ethics. We should not accept every word without reasoning. Muslim bin Aqil is a son of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school who refuses to abandon his moral beliefs and assassinate Ubeydullah Ibn Ziyad. Even in a single speech of Imam Khomeini, we cannot see curses and insults and quoting with no reason. At the peak of the confrontation with the Shah, he never spoke irrationally. The politeness and respect is very influential on the audience.”

“The third behavioral principle in the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school is courage. AhlulBayt (a.s.) taught us to be brave. Cowards have no right to claim that they are the followers of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Imam Ali (a.s.). Courage means when we conclude that we must sacrifice our property, life and reputation, whether the result is the Ashura uprising or the peace of Imam Hassan (a.s.). Therefore, the courage of Imam Hassan (a.s.) is not less than the courage of Imam Hussain (a.s.), and the courage of Imam Reza (a.s.) is not less than the courage of Hazrat AbalFazl (a.s.). Courage is rooted in face,” he continued.

“The fourth pillar is the unity of the Islamic Ummah, i.e., adhering to the fact that we are one nation. Many in the Islamic Ummah wanted to remove Shiites from the Islamic Ummah. This is despite the fact that no move of the infallible Imams (a.s.) has ever been observed against the interests of the Islamic Ummah,” added a professor of the higher levels of the seminary.

“According to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, it is necessary to prevent any damage to Islam. Muslims are our brothers, and we live together. Therefore, we should not enter the field that makes the enemies happy. The Supreme Leader of the Revolution declared insulting the sanctities of AhlulBayt (a.s.) as haram. Ayatollah Sistani also said, “Sunnis are our soul”. Therefore, according to the behavioral principle of the AhlulBayt (a.s.), we should prevent harm to Islam. The AhlulBayt (a.s.) told us to participate in the Sunni prayers and empathize with them. Because we have common interests. There should be no discord. Because the benefits of this conflict (between Muslims) are taken by those who are enemies of all of us Muslims,” added Sayed Hassan Khomeini.

“The fifth behavioral principle of AhlulBayt (a.s.) is knowledge. AhlulBayt (a.s.) want powerful Shiites. They want people like Hisham Hakem, Momin Taq, Abdullah Bakir and Yunus bin Abdul Rahman. Of course, the common people of the society should keep the enthusiasm, but the scholars should become expert in every science,” he continued.

“To promote the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, we must master the knowledge of our time. The name of Imam Ali (a.s.) remained by the knowledge of Shiites. With Sheikh Tusi, Sheikh Kulayni and the First, Second and Third Martyrs, Shia has survived. Jihad of science is necessary and essential for us, entering the field of technology and technologies is important. Therefore, Shiite scholars should be the best in different countries,” Hojat al-Islam Sayed Hassan Khomeini emphasized.

“Science is the first power in the world. The requirement of a good Shiite is to have a lot of knowledge, and Shiites should be scholars. To keep the school (of AhlulBayt) alive, we must become strong. We should encourage children to be equipped with modern knowledge. All Shiites should be equipped with modern knowledge. It is shame for us that all the Nobel Prize winners are Jews. There must come a day when all the winners of this award are Shiites of Imam Ali (a.s.),” said Sayed Hassan Khomeini in the end.
