Ayatollah Khosroshahi established deep connection between Egyptian, Iranian societies: Taskhiri

To commemorate the second anniversary of the demise of Ayatollah Sayed Hadi Khosroshahi, the webinar “Man of Approximation Square” was held on Sunday evening, February 20, 2022, by the Office for Iran Affairs of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, in cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and similar institutions.

In this webinar, the Deputy for Communications and International Affairs of the University of Religions and Denominations emphasized, “During his tenure at the Vatican, Ayatollah Khosroshahi marked a new beginning in the relationship between Islam and Christianity.”

“Ayatollah Khosroshahi spent his life supporting pure Islam, defending the Muslims of the world and the oppressed and innocent nations of Palestine, Lebanon and other oppressed nations. The demise of this noble man is a loss for the Muslims, and it is not easy to find a replacement for this figure,” said Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Taskhiri.

“The generation before the Islamic Revolution of Iran was the initiator of the Islamic awakening in the contemporary world. After Sayed Jamal al-Din Asadabadi and Mohammad Abduh, Ayatollah Khosroshahi was among those who conveyed this great mission to humanity from the school of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he added.

“During his tenure at the Vatican, Ayatollah Khosroshahi marked a new beginning in the relationship between Islam and Christianity. Also, during his presence in Egypt, by communicating with the Egyptian scholars he conquered the hearts of the Muslims and religious scholars of the country and established a deep connection between the Egyptian and Iranian societies,” Hojat al-Islam Taskhiri continued.

“The late Khosroshahi never stopped writing and always tried to introduce the new Islamic civilization and the great movement of the Islamic Revolution and Imam Khomeini to the world in a way that would be accepted by the youth,” he added.

“He had excellent relations with Islamic scholars in Iran and Najaf, as well as with academics inside and outside Iran. He was a practical example of the unity of the seminary and the university. Therefore, it is very difficult for the Islamic world to find figures like him,” Taskhiri noted.

“His writings and thoughts, as well as the great library he founded in recent years, will last forever,” he stated, referring to the permanence of the works of the late Khosroshahi.
