Ayatollah Ramazani met with the students of Minhaj Al-Quran University in Lahore

During his visit to Manhaj al-Qur'an University in Lahore, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “We are ready to have effective cooperation to connect and link Al-Manhaj University with the University of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, as well as other Iranian universities.”

ABWA Official Website – On Thursday, July 6, 2023, during his visit to Pakistan, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani met with the professors and students of Minhaj Al-Quran University, Lahore, Pakistan

In this meeting, which was held in the university amphitheater, and attended by about 200 professors and students, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly gave a speech.

Explaining the current situation in the Islamic world, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Compared to the past few decades, due to the effective presence of Muslims in the political and social arenas, Islam has progressed and is in a position of authority. During the last 4 centuries, certain individuals and groups tried to put science against religion, so that religion could be abandoned. Communism wanted to destroy religion (Islam), and the West wanted to limit it. But these efforts have been faced with the scientific and practical confrontation of Muslims in the present era.”

Referring to the views of some leaders of the Western school of thought, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Friedrich Schleiermacher says “religion is a personal experience”. This is while that religion has both individual and social dimensions. The social sphere of religion has been neglected for centuries. They argued that no religious revolution will take place. But the Islamic Revolution of Iran showed that religion has a significant role in society. They said that religion does not have the governance ability, and especially in the modern era, this is not feasible. But they saw that the presence of religion in society changed all social and religious equations. Muslim countries today must show their authority. Science is one of the main components of authority and should be given special attention.”

At the end of his speech, while emphasizing the friendly relationship between the nation and the government of Iran and Pakistan, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly expressed gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of the professors and officials of Minhaj al-Quran University in training Muslim researchers.

In this ceremony, while expressing appreciation and thanks for the presence and speech of the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in this university, Dr. Shahbaz, the director of Minhaj University, said, “Your statements were new to us, and it was as if we were hearing these words for the first time. Thank you for drawing our attention to this valuable content. Muslims were a nation that once ruled from the east to the west of the world, but they fell by abandoning science and distanced themselves from their golden age.”
