Fighting ignorance, awakening Islamic Ummah, prevents influence of Islam’s enemies: Ayatollah Ramazani

Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Both Shia and Sunni Islamic scholars must disavow enemies, extremism, and distorters. They should also take action for unity and strengthen it, eliminate ignorance, and awaken Islamic nations.”

ABWA Official Website – The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and his accompanying delegation participated in the great conference “Ghadir and Islamic Unity” organized by the Ghadir Foundation, with the participation of religious figures and elites in the conference hall of the National Library of Pakistan in Islamabad.

As the main speaker of this program, while emphasizing the decisive role of elites and religious leaders of the Islamic world, including Pakistan, in Islamic unity, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “There should be general supervision about Islamic unity. Also, Islam should be presented to the world by experts and missionaries.”

Referring to the intellectual crisis in Western societies, as well as the Westerners’ efforts to distort the pure Muhammadan (p.b.u.h) Islam, he stated, “There is no place for liberal or violent versions of Islam in the Islamic world. Rather, all of us are obliged to defend rational and moderate Islam.”

“Pakistan is one of the important countries of the Islamic world, which has great capacities in various sectors, including human resources,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “We should pay special attention to the youth, and not let our young generation get Islam from virtual space, but they should learn Islam from Islamic missionaries and scholars.”

Further in this ceremony, Mufti Gulzar Ahmed Naimi, the head of Jamaat Ahl-e Haram of Pakistan, gave a speech and said, “One of the components and features of the Ghadir Event is to create unity among Muslims. From the point of view of many Sunni and Shiite ulama, Ghadir Khumm is a symbol of unity and is effective in establishing and consolidating the brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah.”

“All Muslims follow one principle and one religion,” he emphasized, “They have an eternal charter called the Quran, and their belief in the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) is the cause of chanting for unity.”

It is worth mentioning that Ehsan Khazaei, the cultural attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Pakistan, and Hamed Abbas, the Iraqi ambassador, were among the figures who participated in this ceremony.
