The Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Islamic Iran, as the motherland of the Islamic world, considers it its duty to defend the oppressed Palestinian nation. We, in turn, have a duty to defend Palestine as a symbol of resistance and reflect oppression to the world through art.”

ABWA Official Website – On the 44^th anniversary of the handing over of the Zionist embassy in Iran to the Palestinian people by the order of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the international conference “Committed Art in Support of the Holy Al-Quds”, as well as the ceremony dedicated to the appreciation of the winners of the “3^rd International Cartoon Festival of Al-Quds Day” was held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Azadi Tower Conference Hall by the Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People affiliated with the Presidential Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In his speech at this ceremony, while emphasizing the valuable role of art in portraying the crimes of the Zionists, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, considered resistance against occupation and global arrogance as examples of justice-seeking activities.

“Resistance is the only way in the face of occupation and tyranny,” he said, “Most violations of international norms have been committed by the Zionist regime. Our rational stance is that the governance of Palestine should be in the hands of the people of the country, including Muslims, Christians, and Jews.”

While emphasizing the outstanding role of art in portraying the crimes of the Zionists, Ayatollah Ramazani expressed, “Palestine is a sacred and respected land for all religions. But unfortunately, the most bitter events take place there against the people, and even the artists who narrate the events of Palestine are threatened and face martyrdom.”

Further, while expressing gratitude for holding this prestigious conference in support of Palestine and the Holy al-Quds, he added, “According to the teachings of Abrahamic religions, as well as Quranic verses, even negotiation and peace must be fair and based on justice. One of the examples of seeking justice is resistance against oppression and (global) arrogance, which has become a global trend today.”

“Today, the resistance movement has spread throughout the world. To describe Islam according to its pillars, we must pay attention to both resistance and mercy. Because resistance is also defined as part of mercy,” clarified the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Although there are talks of peace in some circles now, there is no place in the Quran that talks about absolute peace. Rather, according to the Quranic verses and hadiths, peace must be just,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

While pointing to the increasing cruelty of the Zionist regime to the oppressed Palestinian nation, “In order for Palestinians to achieve their rights, all international organizations that claim to defend human rights are required to take necessary measures.”

“The cruelty and tyranny of the Zionist regime will affect the entire human world. They claim that they should make the conquest of the promised land a prelude to the salvation of all humanity! which means taking control of the entire humanity,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“Islamic Iran, as the motherland of the Islamic world, considers it its duty to defend the oppressed Palestinian nation. We, in turn, have a duty to defend Palestine as a symbol of resistance and reflect oppression to the world through art,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Zionism is a global danger that affects the entire human society. They are trying to pursue a kind of global governance based on their principles. Zionism is a system of domination, and it is a kind of extreme oppression that has pervaded human society and that is why it must be confronted,” he expressed.

“The issue of realizing justice is the matter of reason and Fitrah (human divine nature), and when people face injustice, they automatically rise up against it,” said a member of the Council of Leadership Experts said.

“The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) revived human dignity based on the revelation teachings. With the blessings of Resistance, Palestine has sought to achieve true dignity, and this has a great lesson for libertarians of the world. This resistance will definitely spread in the world, and it will be a prelude to the Reappearance of the Savior, (that is Imam Mahdi), and then, humanity will feel true justice,” said the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the end.

At the end of this ceremony, the awards of the “3^rd International Cartoon Festival of Al-Quds Day” will be given to the winners.

It is worth mentioning that the international conference of “Committed Art in Support of the Holy al-Quds”, was held on Monday, February 20, 2023, at Azadi Tower Conference Hall by the Committee for the Support of the Islamic Revolution of the Palestinian People affiliated with the Presidential Administration of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the collaboration of the domestic and international organizations such as the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Al-Wafa Islamic Party of Bahrain, Cultural-Artistic Center of the Islamic Revolution, ABNA News Agency, Martyr Fazel Center for Strategic Studies of Iraq, and Safir Network.

The conference was attended by domestic and foreign figures, including Nasser Kanaani, spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Al-Deilami, the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Iran, Nasser Abu Sharif, representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Iran, and Sayed Morteza Al-Sendi, representative of the revolutionaries of Bahrain. /345/
