"It must be clarified what the criteria are for peace. Peace must be based on justice. This is one of the most important criteria for peace. If one commits oppression and aggression, one should not claim peace after oppression. The answer to aggression is natural and rational," Ayatollah Ramazani said at the conference.
"Peace in the way of God is peace in the way of realizing human ideals, peace for the realization of justice, spirituality and rationality. Those who have the temperament of arrogance, tyranny and exploitation obstruct peace. In fact, the real belligerent is the same as the colonialist and tyrant," he continued.
He said that Islam and all religions are not the religion of war and do not want to promote war in human society. Divine religions are the religion of dignity and tolerance. Islam is a religion of rationality and spirituality based on mercy and love.
He further called on Muslims to be kind to each other and to deal severely with infidels according to the Qur'anic teachings, and advised peace accompanied by resistance.
