Honoring Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Al-Khersan, the insightful reviver of AhlulBayt (a.s.) heritage, in Mashhad

ABWA Official Website - The specialized session “The Insightful Reviver of AhlulBayt (a.s.) Heritage” from the series of scientific conferences “Umana Al-Rosol” (Trustees of the Messengers) to honor and commemorate the eminent jurist of Najaf Seminary, the prominent Islamic researcher and hadith narrator, Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Mahdi Al-Khersan, was held by the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi (the office of the custodian of the Imam Reza (a.s.) Holy Shrine) in Mashhad.

In this international conference, which was held on the Sunday morning, November 27, 2022, with the presence of the custodians of the Holy Shrines of Iraq and the officials of Astan Quds Razavi, while welcoming the guests from Iraq, the head of the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi expressed his satisfaction with this ceremony to commemorate and honor the scientific dignitaries of the Islamic world and appreciated the organizers in his respective organization.

Abdul Hamid Talebi stated, “Mashhad seminary is one of the old and prestigious seminaries, which has established good connections and interactions with other seminaries. We hope that this conference, which is being held in the holy city of Mashhad and near the Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.), will lead to more cooperation and interactions between the holy shrines, experts, and researchers of Islamic sciences.”

The objectives of the Conference “Umana Al-Rosol” (Trustees of the Messengers)

Further in this conference, the head of Al-Zurriah Al-Nabawiah (The Prophet’s Progeny) Research Institute in Qom said, “Umana Al-Rosol conference pursues lofty goals considering the comprehensiveness of Islam, AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the ulama of this school. Some of the goals and objectives of holding this conference are to interact with Shiite seminaries in the Islamic world, to model collective activities at the highest possible level to neutralize the divisive plans of the enemies and their followers, and also to pay attention to the factors that cause harm in the Islamic society.”

The characteristics of Ayatollah Al-Khersan, from simple life to scientific jihad

In the following, mentioning some of the characteristics of Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Al-Khersan, Monzer Hakim, the head of Al-Zurriah Al-Nabawiah Research Institute said, “Being Sayed, having knowledge and jurisprudence, piety and dignity, living humble life, scientific jihad and enlightening in a clear and convincing way in defense of the of AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, scrutiny in research, great perseverance and indefatigability, avoiding fame, and scientific movement without attracting the attention of others in a society that is always evolving.”

“Astan Quds Razavi Islamic Research Foundation has taken great steps in research on the progeny of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and genealogy, and Al-Zurriah Al-Nabawiah Research Institute has also benefited from the blessings of these studies. Many are not aware of the necessity of genealogy. But its importance is clear to us. Because genealogy expertise can play a significant role in scientific and social developments,” he further said.

Turning threats into opportunities in Islamic discourse

The head of Astan Quds Razavi Islamic Research Foundation said in his speech, “Islam and the Immaculate Imams (a.s.), with their diligence and sacrifice, and with God’s help, created a discourse for us, which is a civilizational and Shiite discourse. Throughout history, this great Shiite discourse has faced many attacks. But it has been so strong that could defeat other discourses. The victory of Islam is the victory of discourse, not the victory of the sword.”

“This discourse was created in the 2nd century AH, it was strengthened in the 3rd century AH, and since then it has been invaded by enemies. But none of these invasions could stop it from moving forward. The power of the Shiite discourse has been so great that it turned these invasions into opportunities. This discourse came from the past to the contemporary era and now, the Western discourse equipped with science and technology stood against the Shiite discourse,” Ahad Faramarz Qaramaleki said.

Honoring and introducing scholars means protecting Shiite and Islamic culture

“The modern discourse of the West, for political and international reasons, has been attacking the Shiite and Islamic discourse for more than a hundred years in the areas of lifestyle, clothing and way of thinking. There is a very dangerous aspect in this discursive attack and in different dimensions against the Shiite discourse. The western discourse, through its invasion, wants to take the identity of the Shiites and instill lack of identity. The solution to counter this invasion is to introduce a role model that show how a Muslim and Shiite person can be. Honoring the ulama is a way of introducing a role model and introducing a role model actually means defending Shiism and Islam,” Qaramaleki added.

Identifying and introducing a role model requires a systematic answer to the questions, why this particular person? With what criteria should we choose a role model? For example, a certain person has been introduced as a role model because of books, ideas, or because of civilizational influence or other aspects. If we don’t answer how we choose a role model, and only give compliments, we can’t introduce true role models or examples,” he expressed.

Scholars and academics on the path of inter civilizational communication

In this seminar, Gholamreza Jalali, head of the Faculty of History and Tradition of AhlulBayt (a.s.) of the Astan Quds Razavi Islamic Research Foundation, said, “This conference is to create scientific interaction between the seminaries and Islamic centers of Mashhad and Najaf. Seminaries should be connected and consider each other as their complement. Different cultures are built through the spheres and interaction of Abrahamic religions. In fact, in the production of science, nothing is more important than communication.”

“The leadership of the movement towards the new Islamic civilization is in the hands of ulama, clerics, academics and scholars who can communicate with other scientific centers,” he added according to the official website of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“One of the characteristics of Mashhad seminary is its comprehensiveness, because almost all scientific fields, from philosophy, mathematics, art to other fields of study that are suitable for Islamic life, are taught in this seminary,” Gholam Reza Jalali stated.

The land of Tus, establishing and development of civilization

“Khwaja Nasir al-Din Tusi and figures as great as him who have promoted civilization and thought have lived in this area of Islamic civilization. In general, the word “تمدن” (civilization) was used for the first time by Khwaja Nasir al-Din Tusi, and it was due to the existence of the capacities of Tus plain, the exceptional location of the region and the presence of Imam Reza (a.s.), which led to the formation and development of civilization” added the head of the Faculty of History and Tradition of AhlulBayt (a.s.) of the Astan Quds Razavi Islamic Research Foundation.

“Wahhabism has 15,000 scientific bases in Pakistan, and based on its inherent capabilities, it is active in Afghanistan and Central Asia instead of Najaf and Qom,” Jalali said.

“The history of Mashhad goes back to more than 1300 years ago. Also, one of the three prominent seminaries of Najaf and Qom is Khorasan Seminary, centered in Mashhad,” he said.

Further in the conference, Reza Eskandari, the secretary of the Scientific and International Conference Umana Al-Rosol, stated, “The introduction of those educated in seminaries and divine ulama provides the basis for the expansion of knowledge and practice among the right-seekers of the world, and especially the Islamic society. The seminary has decided to start ongoing activities to commemorate the outstanding ulama of the Shiite seminaries, especially the Qom seminary.”

“Therefore, a conference entitled “Scientific and International Conference Umana Al-Rosol (Trustees of the Messengers)” was initiated by the seminaries, so that by the cooperation and interaction between various seminaries and religious institutions and centers of the Shiite world, especially Iran and Iraq, recognize the scientific, spiritual and scientific aspects of the figures of the seminaries and introduce them,” he continued.

In another part of the conference, presenting a report on the organization and structure of Astan Quds Razavi, Hojat al-Islam Sayed Mohammad Zulfaqari, Deputy for International Affairs of the Scientific and Cultural Organization of Astan Quds Razavi, stated, “The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.), with an area of more than one million square meters, hosts more than 35 million domestic and foreign pilgrims every year. The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (a.s.) is the most vivid, progressive, influential, scientific, cultural and dynamic organization in Islamic Iran.”

Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Al-Khersan, born in 1347 AH, a prominent Shiite scholar from Najaf, is an author, translator and proofreader of authentic Islamic books. The most famous work of this prominent Islamic scholar is the book of “Encyclopedia of Abdullah bin Abbas”, with the subject of Ibn Abbas, the cousin and companion of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), which was published in 21 volumes, and won the prize in the 34th Book of the Year Conference of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It has been written in the field of Islam and biography.

Ayatollahs Sayed Abu al-Qasim Khoei, and Sayed Mohsen Hakim were among the teachers of Ayatollah Al-Khersan, and Some of ulama, such as Ayatollahs Agha Bozorg Tehrani, Sayed Mohammad Sadeq Bahr Al-Oloom, Sayed Ali Behbahani, Sayed Abdul Ali Sabzevari, and Sayed Morteza Khalkhali, have allowed him to narrate hadiths.

The books of Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Al-Khersan are written on the topics of translation, genealogy, theology, hadith and jurisprudence. The book of “Ali, Imam of the Virtuous”, which is a description of an ode by Ayatollah Sayed Abu al-Qasim Khoei about the Imamate of Imam Ali (a.s.), and “Mohsen, the grandson of the Prophet, was Born or Aborted” about Hazrat Mohsen (a.s.), the son of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Lady Fatimah (a.s.), are among his books.

It worth mentioning that the Najaf section of the “1st Conference of the Umana al-Rosol (Trustees of the Messengers): Commemoration of the Grand Ayatollah Sayed Muhammad Mahdi Al-Musawi Al-Khersan” with research meetings was held in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (a.s.). The closing ceremony of this section was also held on the Tuesday evening, October 18, 2022, in the conference hall of Lady Fatimah Zahra (a.s.), and the authors of the selected articles and a number of organizers of the conference were appreciated.

Also, the two holy shrines of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Imam Hussain (a.s.), as well as about 30 scientific and cultural institutions – including the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly – have participated in holding this conference. /345/

  • “History-Making Myths” course will begin at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University

“History-Making Myths” course will begin at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University

ABWA Official Website - The first meeting of the History Department of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University from series of scientific sessions focusing on history-making myths will be held on Monday, November 28, 2020, from 6 to 7:10 p.m.

In this session entitled “Jerusalem Paradise”, Dr. Mahdi Mohammadi, a faculty member of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, will give a speech.

A summary of this session reads, “All the motivations that have led to important developments in human history were not necessarily rooted in external facts or correct data. Throughout history, sometimes an important historical event occurred only under the influence of myths that resulted from exaggeration of a fact or big mistakes in assessments. Over time, these exaggerations and mistakes were so accepted in the public space as they were inviolable facts and followed by actions that changed the course of history. Here four examples of myths will be studied that, when believed to be true, led to important developments in world history.”

It worth mentioning that this course will be held in the conference hall of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, and attendance is free for registrants in the course.

The session will also be held online at the following address:

  • Allameh Tabatabai lived an intellectual, intuitive and spiritual life: Ayatollah Ramazani

Allameh Tabatabai lived an intellectual, intuitive and spiritual life: Ayatollah Ramazani

ABWA Official Website - The Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Allameh Tabatabai lived an intellectual, intuitive and spiritual life. He served knowledge, reasoning and thought.”

Delivering a speech in the ethics course of AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Regarding the spiritual and scientific position of Allameh Tabatabai, the late Ayatollah Motahari says that the Allameh should be recognized in the next hundred years because he was a unique figure. Martyr Motahari also said, “Whenever I compare myself to Allameh Tabatabai, I see myself as a speck in an infinite sea, and when I compare myself to the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), I see that I am nothing”.”

“A sage in the philosophical system always uses reason. reason has a high place among sages in such a way that all philosophers use intellect in the understanding. At the head of Masha Philosophy (Peripatetic School) before the advent of Islam was Aristotle, and after Islam it was Avicenna. At the top of the Ishraq Philosophy (Illuminationism) before Islam was Plato, and after Islam it was Suhrawardi, and at the top of Transcendent Theosophy was Mulla Sadra, who is considered the founder of the school. What is common among these three philosophies is reason,” he added.

In explaining the difference between the Ishraq Philosophy (Illuminationism) and Masha Philosophy (Peripatetic School), Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “In the Illuminationism the truth is something that must shine a light inside the human being. Therefore, in Peripatetic Philosophy, everything that exists is reason. In the Illuminationism, the discussion of illumination is raised, the same light that must shine on the heart to reveal the truth.”

About Transcendent Theosophy, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The late Ayatollah Hassanzadeh Amoli said “Argument, Quran and mysticism are not separated from each other. But in the Transcendent Theosophy, the source of intellect is used to understand and explain to others. Therefore, what we should pay attention to is that if philosophy appears in society with this approach, society will also become rational and will be guided towards contemplation.”

Considering the implementation of philosophy more important than reading and knowing the philosophy, he said, “Philosophy means reasoning and thinking, which must be included in the context of human life so that people are rational and thinkers. Some people only pay attention to the human sensory dimension and see only this dimension. On the other hand, some reach the stage of intuition in their self-purification and conduct, which is what mystics seek to achieve. If the reason flourishes, the society will be awakened and become wise.”

Allameh Tabatabai lived an intellectual, intuitive and spiritual life

“In the Quran, God addresses sensory people, “O believers, respond to the call of God and His Messenger to attain life.” Prophets came to call mankind from sensory life to sensible life. This is because the Quran places a high value on thinking and reasoning, and about 300 Quranic verses have been revealed about thinking, contemplation and reasoning,” Ayatollah Ramazani continued.

“If this reasoning and thinking enters the academic and scientific field, will provide for the society to enter into reasoning and thinking. An intelligent society will definitely be progressive, and that’s what the Quran emphasizes and demands,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Reason is the prophet of God,” he said, “God has given an inner prophet for humans, which is reason, and He also sent His messengers to make that inner treasure of man flourish, because messengers know how man can reach perfection through reason. Man can know himself through reason.”

“Ma’arifa and knowledge is the first thing that is raised in religion,” Ramazani emphasized, “Man should be adorned with divine attributes. That means, we know that God Almighty is wise, so man should also acquire wisdom. Religion is responsible for bringing man to the status of his intellectual life. Reason invites man to God’s service and brings him to heaven. Understanding gives man the power to elevate, and along with this understanding, there must be action. If you look at philosophy from this point of view, which is a tool for human growth and elevation, it helps to make the society wiser.”

“Being wise, man will never feel fear. A believer never sees himself as greater than others, and this is the result of reason. When he develops his intellect, man faces an infinite and sees himself as small. Therefore, philosophers and mystics should not be disrespected and abandoned. Allameh Tabatabai lived an intellectual, intuitive and spiritual life. Allameh served knowledge, reasoning and thought, and today many prominent people in the field of philosophy are considered as his students,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the end. /345/

  • Right and legal demands are among the characteristics of the Islamic government: Ayatollah Ramazani

Right and legal demands are among the characteristics of the Islamic government: Ayatollah Ramazani

ABWA Official Website - At the beginning of his Kharij Fiqh class, while referring to the events of recent months in the country, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “It is clear to everyone that at first the realization of the Iranian Islamic Revolution was not believable for many. Even some believers in the religious and Islamic system, as well as many seminarians and academics, considered it impossible. Therefore, before the Islamic Revolution, many religious intellectuals believed that for a reformation, transformation and change in the society should be done gradually.”

“The Islamic Revolution was realized under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) by observing the religious system and with the support of the people. While many domestic and foreign analysts and theoreticians believed that such a system would not be established, with the special favor of the Almighty God, the leadership of Imam Khomeini (r.a.), the great efforts of the clerics, and the strong presence of the Muslim people of Iran, as well as the blood of sincere martyrs, Iran’s glorious Revolution won,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Of course, from the very beginning this Revolution had opponents both from abroad and inside the country. A group of opponents of the Islamic Revolution were pro-Pahlavis who migrated to various countries such as the United Stated, France, Sweden, the UK, and Germany after the victory of the Revolution, and from there they were engaged in plotting and planning against the interests of Islamic Iran. The other group of opponents were the separatists, who were also active after the Revolution, of which the conflicts in Kurdistan are an example. The other group was the Hypocrites (MKO terrorists) who, especially at the beginning of the Revolution, assassinated influential figures, different strata and guilds of the people in various ways. Also, leftist groups such as Komalah and Democratic Party and People’s Fedai Guerrillas also had claims and made objections. But when they started an armed war, the Islamic system confronted them decisively,” noted the representative of Gilan province in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“The literature and discourse of the Islamic Revolution has always been based on human and Islamic values. Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the efforts of the officials of the Islamic government have always been to realize justice in the society, implement Islamic rules and preserve human dignity. Although there is still a long way to full realization of this lofty ideal of the Islamic Revolution. On other hand, from the very beginning, the internal and external enemies, led by United States and the Zionist regime, opposed the Islamic Revolution and its goals and policies. They used to conspire in different ways, and they always tried to harm the Islamic government with different methods of neo-colonialism and ultra-neo colonialism,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In the past, the Europeans opposed the presence of the Israeli regime and the establishment of their government in Europe, and finally decided to go to Palestine and establish their regime there. They gradually occupied three quarters of Palestine in various ways, including killing women and children, building a wall between the occupied territories and the Palestinian indigenous people, and many other things. Today, unfortunately, the normalization of relations between Arab countries and the Zionist regime is discussed, and some Arab leaders did this and established their embassies inside the occupied territories,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“Currently, the occupation regime of Israel is one of the sides of the sinister triangle of colonialism. If a decision is to be made about a region of the world, one side of this decision making is Israel, which has reached such a situation with the support of the United States. The other two sides are Saudi Arabia and the United States. They use the wealth of the Muslim nation of Saudi Arabia and the public wealth of the Muslims to colonize the people,” continued the seminary professor.

“The opponents of the Islamic Republic, both from inside and outside, have sought to create sedition and chaos since the beginning of the revolution. The enemies of the Islamic Revolution have sought to overthrow this government with military, cultural, and political attack, as well as sanctions in the strictest way (which is still ongoing). In this regard, they did not even spare humanitarian and medical sanctions, which are not acceptable anywhere in the international arena. If in the past the enemies of the Islamic government sought to destroy and tarnish the image of the Islamic government, today all the opponents have unitedly planned to overthrow the Islamic Republic,” emphasized the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

According to the literature that the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) has taught us, ethnic and tribal wars among the Muslim nation of Iran are meaningless. Kurds, Turks, Lors, Baloch and Arabs, Persians and Gilaks, etc. are all brothers and it does not make sense for them to want to confront and fight with each other. Because Imam Khomeini (r.a.) considered religious differences as one of the enemy’s plans. Because what is the real criterion for the superiority of a group over another is only divine piety. These are the lessons that our honorable Imam taught us based on Islamic literature and culture, which is derived from the teachings of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the Holy Quran,” said the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“Both intellectually and executively, the position of women after the Revolution is very different from before the Revolution,” he emphasized.

Referring to the efforts made to achieve a value and justice system in the literal sense of the word in the society, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “Against the embezzlements and betrayals, different strata, society’s justice seekers and revolutionaries are protesting and demanding answers. The government should have a plan regarding the demands of trade unions.”

“Laws and regulations should be established regarding the demands of guilds and different strata of the country’s people. This should be followed up. Right and legal demands are among the characteristics of the Islamic government. A plan and platform should be provided and defined so that people and protestors can express their demands in legal gatherings and demonstration. The legislature and the executive should pay attention to this issue,” emphasized the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts according to the official website of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the recent events in the country and the attempts of colonial countries to regime-change in Iran, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “In recent events, all the colonial countries came to attack Iran, and they were not satisfied with anything other than overthrowing the government. Previously, many countries did not announce this issue officially, although their approach was in line with the regime change. But in this period, the leaders of some countries raise the issue of regime change, which is considered a clear intervention in the countries’ issues. These people should never be allowed to interfere in Iran’s political system. The Islamic Revolution was established to prevent interventions, domination, arrogance and colonialism.”

Expressing his regret for the deaths of people and the damages caused in the recent incidents, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “The fact that some people under the pretext of protesting some issues, want to block streets and highways, set fire to banks and ambulances, carry out brutal attacks, and kill our security forces and youths, is not understandable and acceptable. These cases cannot be defended by any law anywhere in the world.”

“In recent months, some groups have brought weapons and ammunition into the country to harm the Islamic society of Iran, and unfortunately, in these events, several people from the defense and security forces were martyred in the front line. Certainly, these hostile and disruptive people should be separated from the protesters. Because they are not looking for civil demands, but for a regime change, and they do not spare any brutality in this way,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Some people were got carried away and deceived thinking that the actions of those who are looking for a regime change, are a protest, and according to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the Islamic government will deal with them with Islamic compassion”. But the actions of those who threatened, were lured by the words of others, sought the change regime, and killed people, cannot be tolerated in any way and will be dealt with according to the law,” he added.

Referring to the fake news of the BBC, Manoto, Iran International, etc., Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Even some critics of the Islamic government have realized that the news of these networks is fake. These media outlets highlight the small gatherings inside or outside the country against the Islamic Republic system with media magnification. But they underestimate the huge marches and millions of participants of the great nation of Iran, and they often do not publish the news of such gatherings it at all. There is no doubt that the Islamic Revolution suffered material and spiritual damage with these conspiracies. But everyone should know that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not shake with these winds.”

In another part of his speech, while emphasizing the need for enlightening in the society, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Elites of the society, seminarians, academics, professors, lecturers, etc. should not fail in the enlightening field. This Revolution has not been achieved easily; pure blood has been sacrificed for this Revolution, and it will be continued until justice is implemented in true sense of the word. Today, the Jihad of Enlightenment is a religious, legal, divine and revolutionary duty and responsibility for all of us.”

“There is no doubt that there are problems in some parts of the society that all ethnic groups should mobilize and solve them. Baluch, Lur, Gilak, Turk, Arab, Fars, Kurd, Sunni and Shiite, we are all brothers. We are all in one family of Islamic Iran and we must protect this flag,” said the representative of the people of Gilan province in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.

“In this time and difficult conditions, which are becoming more difficult day by day, our duty is to continue the enlightening jihad. This is the most important thing that seminarians and academics should do, and it should be continued in schools, universities, mosques, and cultural centers,” concluded the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly. /345/

  • Introducing the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly to the guests of the Umana Al-Rosol conference

Introducing the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly to the guests of the Umana Al-Rosol conference

ABWA Official Website - On Thursday, November 24, 2022, the Iraqi guests and the organizers of the conference “Umana Al-Rosol; Commemoration of the Insightful Reviver Ayatollah Sayed Mohammad Mahdi Al-Musawi Al-Khersan” welcomed at the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly headquarters in Qom and learned about the activities of this institution.

In this meeting, the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “I sincerely appreciate and thank the institutions that organized the conference of Umana Al-Rosol and the Hoy Shrines of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and Imam Ali (a.s.), especially Hojat al-Islam Eskandari, who made diligent efforts to hold the conference.”

Regarding the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “Students from 23 nationalities study at AhlulBayt (a.s.) International University. Also, Thaqalayn TV is active in Arabic, and we are trying to increase its languages. On the other hand, at the Ashura International Foundation, we are looking to monitor and collect information about the activities regarding Ashura and Arbaeen in different countries.”

The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is the connecting link between the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) and Marjaiat

Regarding other activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, he added, “We have connections with many missionaries in the world and we are looking for synergy for more activities.”

“The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is a non-governmental organization,” Ayatollah Ramazani added, “The Assembly is related to Marjaiat, and the members of its Supreme Council are from all countries of the world. Currently, the members of the General Assembly are 670 people and 400 people are applying for membership and we are considering it.”

“The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is the connecting link between the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.) and Marjaiat,” he said, “Wherever Marjaiat has a role, we are present there and inform the Shiites of the world about their words and statements.”

Regarding the mission of the seminaries in the field of propagating the teachings of AhlulBayt (a.s.), the professor of the higher levels of the seminary stated, “The golden opportunity that has arisen today for seminaries in the field of Islamic propagation all over the world is unprecedented and this opportunity should be used. The West is facing a spiritual crisis. Therefore, the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school, with its comprehensiveness, can save the human society in various fields.”

The clergy and clerics need to get acquainted with the literature, language, and culture of the world

“I was in Europe for more than thirteen years and was associated with academic institutions. At the Sorbonne University, one of the scholars pointed out that Shiite Fiqh (jurisprudence) can respond to the challenges of humanity. Therefore, there is this golden opportunity, and by uniting and synergizing the capacities between the seminaries of Qom and Najaf, we can be influential in the international arena,” he added.

Emphasizing the necessity of avoiding sideline issues in religious activities in the international arena, about the method of international propagation of Islam he said, “The Iranian clerics with Iranian literature and Iraqi clerics with Iraqi literature cannot communicate with the world. Therefore, the clergy and clerics should get acquainted with the literature, language, and culture of the world so that they can convey the virtues of the words of AhlulBayt (a.s.).”

Referring to the necessity of producing literature for the world, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Just as the West produce literature for the world, we should also produce literature and discourse for the world with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings. They talk about human rights, justice, and freedom. While in practice these things are just a tool for domination. We must introduce the rationality, spirituality, and justice in the school of AhlulBayt (a.s.) to the world in the real sense, and with influential literature.”

“In ultra-neocolonialism, the West colonizes the world with its literature. Therefore, nowadays, it is not possible to operate only with Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Osul (Islamic Fiqh principles). Rather, it is possible to work in the international arena by contemplating and mastery in different dimensions,” he added.

“Western academic institutions monitor the events of our seminaries,” Ayatollah Ramazani said, “The Sorbonne Catholic Institute monitors the latest debates in our seminary and studies the difference between Qom and Najaf approach and the most detailed issues such as Marjaiat and School of Distinction and has master’s and doctoral theses in these fields.”

“It is important that our seminaries can have an international perspective, and not be satisfied with looking at their own boundaries. Our most important task is the intellectual management of the world. This is the need of human societies and seminaries, knowing their duty, should address this issue,” he said in the end.

A report on the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly
