Conference “Al-Aqsa Flood; Battle of Truth vs Falsehood” held by ABWA in Beirut

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “Today, after all the killings by the Zionist regime, it is clear that this cancerous tumor will never keep any promise, and this holy land must be returned to its original owners.”

ABWA Official Website – The conference “Al-Aqsa Flood; The Battle of Truth vs Falsehood” which was held by the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly at the Imam Khomeini (r.a.) Cultural Center in Beirut, Lebanon, was attended by Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, representative of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, Representative of the Lebanese Amal movement, representative of the Palestinian movements Hamas and Islamic Jihad, Christian and Druze figures, as well as elites of the Islamic world.

The Zionist regime does not adhere to any promises

At the beginning of this conference, referring to the resistance of the Palestinian nation, Ayatollah Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “The Palestinian nation has been resisting for 75 years, and in the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, the nation proved the legitimacy of the resistance strategy and showed that the Zionist regime is weaker than a spider’s web. On behalf of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, I praise the position of Hezbollah and its Secretary General, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, regarding the Al-Aqsa flood operation, and I commend him for his courageous position in this regard.”

In the continuation of his speech, he added, “November 4 is the anniversary of the exile of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) from Iran to Iraq. With this action, the arrogant wanted to distance the Imam and the people of Iran from revolutionary thought. But their trick came back to them, and in Najaf, Imam Khomeini (r.a.) became an international leader. So that his ideas were published all over the world, and after his triumphant return home, he established the Islamic Republic of Iran. What we see today from the Resistance movement is one of the achievements of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.).”

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly continued, “Regardless of any religion and sect, we are all responsible for helping Palestine. The Palestinian resistance has achieved a great victory, and we must know what our role is in this regard. Some governments tried to save the Zionist regime by normalizing relations, and some parties also tried to impose submission to the negotiation strategy on the Palestinians. But none of these came to fruition, and today, after all the killings by the Zionist regime, it is clear that this cancerous tumor never keeps any promises, and this holy land must be returned to its original owners, and the Palestinian people must return to their homes. During this time, many of them, from children to the elderly, were martyred for the freedom of this land.”

Referring to the message of the conference “Al-Aqsa Flood; Battle of Truth vs Falsehood”, Ayatollah Akhtari said, “By holding this conference, we intend to convey this message to the United States, the Zionist regime, and some reactionary countries in the region that they should change their methods and strategies; today the situation has changed, and the conditions of 1948 no longer prevail; today the Palestinians are powerful, and they are all waiting to confront the Zionist regime.”

“To help Palestine and destroy the Zionist regime, Lebanon provided a lot of aid. Today, Yemen and Iraq are also participating in the resistance. I ask the neighboring states of Palestine to allow young Muslims to go to the aid of the Palestinians, and that is the least of the requests. Today, Palestinians need support in different ways,” he emphasized.

Lebanese Hezbollah is part of the battle for Palestine

Further in the conference, Hojat al-Islam Naim Qassem, the Deputy Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement, while pointing out that “the victory of the Palestinian nation is certain,” stated, “In our view, the Palestinian people, who have sacrificed so much, will not fail. I send my greetings to the Palestinian martyrs and wounded. The issue of Palestine is the issue of rights, and anyone who stands by Palestine is standing by the right; the issue of Palestine is about returning a land to its original inhabitants. All religions and ideologies emphasize that the owners of a land are the owners of the right. The Zionist regime is fake, and the colonialists created it in this region to plunder its wealth for the West by destroying it.”

“The Al-Aqsa Flood Operation could introduce a model of real resistance against the Zionist regime. This operation was the beginning of the overthrow of the Zionist regime and left a deep impression on the minds of the Zionists, which will have many consequences for them. We are witnessing continuous crimes by the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza, to the extent that it targets hospitals. These actions will make the Palestinian people adhere to their cause more. These crimes do not cause fear in Palestinians. Rather, it will make them adhere more to the strategy of resistance. The enemies should know that for every house that is destroyed in Gaza, houses will be built in the hearts of the enthusiasts of Palestine and Gaza,” he continued.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Lebanese Hezbollah movement added, “We say to global arrogance: Stop the war from spreading, and don’t ask us not to try to spread it! Your aggression will cause the war to spread! Your request for Hezbollah’s non-interference is for Palestine to be left alone, and that will not happen as long as we are in the line of resistance! Today the only solution is resistance. The United States is not only a partner in the war in Gaza, but also leading this war. Netanyahu says his goal is to destroy Hamas, and the US says now is not the right time for a cease-fire, because it benefits Hamas! This means that the US determines the path for the killings. The US and the West have suffered a moral, educational, and political collapse. It became clear that their slogans about human rights, democracy, and defending the rights of women and children were lies. Exposing the falseness of these slogans is one of the achievements of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation.”

Referring to Imam Khomeini’s (r.a.) thoughts about Palestine, Sheikh Naim Qassem said, “The late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) said that the Zionist regime is a cancerous tumor and must be destroyed. We all know that a cancerous tumor will harm other parts of the body, and to prevent this from happening, it must be removed. The words of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) indicated his far-sightedness. It is not possible to live with the Zionist regime, even with the two-state solution and other false titles. The Supreme Leader of the Revolution has given priority to Palestine. He leads the Quds Army. Martyr Soleimani also managed this Islamic approach for Palestine. We see that Muslims, both Shiite and Sunni, are united in the field. This issue showed that Quds can unite them.”

“Hezbollah is part of the battle in the way of Palestine. The Zionist regime has occupied Palestine and has control over the region in different ways. We are a part of the complete freedom operation, the endpoint of which is the freedom of Al-Quds. They criticize us for holding meetings with resistance groups in Palestine, Iraq, and Yemen. Enemies have the right to hold meetings to usurp lands and massacres, but the oppressed do not have such a right!? We are willing to pay any cost in due course. We follow one rule: Palestine is right, and Al-Quds must be freed. We help Al-Quds with all our power,” he mentioned.

Remaining silent in the face of the attacks of the Zionist regime is a crime

In another part of the conference, emphasizing the importance of denouncing the Zionists’ crimes, the representative of Cardinal Bashara Petres al-Ra’i, the leader of Maronite Christians in Lebanon, stated, “Cardinal Petros al-Ra’i denounced the war in the Palestinian land, the attacks against the Palestinian nation, especially against civilians, women, children, mosques, and churches. These attacks are against humanity and silence in the face of them is a bigger crime. Some say that the church has not taken a position, but this is not true. In a one-month meeting of Cardinals in Rome, the cardinals of the East and Lebanon issued a statement, denouncing this war, declaring that they stand by the Palestinian nation.”

“Today we call on an immediate end to the war in Gaza, the reopening of the crossings, and the sending of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people. We want the right to return to its owners. We denounce violence so that peace can return. Solidarity with the right movement continues,” he added.

Hamas is grateful for Iran’s support

In this conference, while referring to Iran’s support for Palestine, Osama Hamdan, the representative of the Hamas movement in Lebanon, stated, “Iran’s support for Palestine is in line with the thought of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.), which the Supreme Leader of the Revolution has continued this path. The issue of Palestine, as one of the comprehensive issues of the Islamic Ummah, has provided an opportunity for the unity of the Ummah, to return to its path and understand that the construction of its future will only be with the decision of its children. Since October 7, the Palestinian nation has been fighting an honorable battle against the Zionist enemy. Before the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation, we had no illusions about the Zionist enemy and the American government. Killings and crimes do not create a disturbance in our will but strengthen our will until the liberation of Palestine.”

“We are proud of the alignment of the members of the resistance axis by our side, and the support of the popular movements in the world of Palestine and the resistance. The Lebanese resistance gave dozens of martyrs in the conflict with the Zionist enemy, and supporting the Lebanese resistance makes us proud. We appreciate the Islamic resistance in Iraq and Yemen. We also thank Sayed Hassan Nasrallah for his positions in his speech. We appreciate the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Palestinian resistance at all levels. In this regard, Ismail Haniyeh went to Tehran a few days ago and met with the Supreme Leader of the Revolution,” he continued.

“I assure you that resistance on the battlefield will meet the enemy with strength, and I believe that the enemy will not achieve his goals with his crimes. We believe that victory belongs to God, and God has promised victory to His righteous servants. We are sure that the Islamic Ummah will eventually win this battle,” added the representative of the Hamas movement in Lebanon.

Hamas will not be destroyed

Further in the conference, Mojtaba Amani, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, while pointing out the need to stop the war in Gaza, stated, “This barbaric war against Gaza must be stopped and humanitarian aid should enter there. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic also emphasized this issue in his trips to the region and to New York, as well as in his contacts with the officials of different countries. This is a humanitarian issue.”

“Today, the United States and Israel are talking about the destruction of Hamas, while the destruction of this resistance group is impossible. The Zionist regime has already tried many times to destroy various resistance groups, but it failed, and it will fail this time as well. This is a war in which Palestinian civilians are massacred on a daily basis, and these atrocities will not lead to the destruction of any resistance group. Anyone who is under occupation has the right to resist the occupier. Iran has publicly announced its support for the resistance in Palestine,” he continued.

The world has remained silent in the face of the crimes of the Zionist regime

Also in this conference, Sheikh Maher Hammoud, the president of the World Union of Resistance Scholars, referring to the massacre of civilians in Gaza, stated, “Gaza has been bombarded for about a month now, and the number of civilian casualties is unprecedented. Meanwhile, the world has remained silent in the face of these crimes and justifies them! The resistance of the Palestinian people against these massacres is commendable. The people of Gaza, despite all the bombings and killings, do not leave their homes, while the Zionist settlers ran away from their homes with the first gunshot.”

Scholars of different religions need to stand by Palestine

Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khatib, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council of Lebanon, sent a message to the conference “Al-Aqsa Flood; Battle of Truth vs Falsehood” which was read by his representative at the conference.

In this message, he said, “Once we witnessed the raising of religious positions against disbelief and the occupation of Afghanistan by the former Soviet Union. But after some time, we realized that the essence of this issue was not religious, and these positions were exploited for geopolitical competitions. A decade ago, we saw positions under the title of religious issues by some scholars regarding the need to overthrow the Syrian government. It was later revealed that this was a project to cut off the path of support for the resistance movement.”

“The question arises as to when religious titles will be used for the Palestinian cause. Justice for mankind, which is the essence of religion, imposes responsibilities on everyone, regardless of religion. Those who wear the clothes of religion should stand by the oppressed in any situation,” continued the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Shiite Council of Lebanon.

“We suggest that a clerical organization of Islamic scholars be formed to, in addition to supporting the resistance, confront the Zionist regime and try to boycott any transactions of companies supporting the regime so that religion does not become a tool in the hands of the colonialists,” Khatib said.

Gaza teaches the world the lesson of resistance and sacrifice

Sheikh Sami Abi al-Mana, Sheikh Aql of the Lebanese Druze Sect, sent a message to the conference “Al-Aqsa Flood; The Battle of Truth vs Falsehood” which was read by his representative in the conference.

In this message, he stated, “Today, Gaza is the crown of Arabs and teaches the whole world the lesson of resistance and sacrifice. Gaza is life and hope. We call on the world and the influential capitals to make a decision to solve the Palestinian issue. The events that happened on October 7 were the result of a series of aggressions against the holy places and the Palestinian nation, while the world remained silent in the face of these aggressions committed by the Zionist regime. These dual standards and violating of international laws by the Zionist regime must end.”

The Zionist army will be defeated again

In another part of the conference, referring to the strength of the resistance in Palestine, Ehsan Ataya, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon, stated, “I assure you that the Palestinian nation and its resistance are united against this cruel war. We consider the brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran as a part of our battle against the Zionist enemy. They did not give up this support for a moment. Iran has always stood by Palestine in all fields of resistance.”

“While the battle in Gaza continues, we only asked the human rights advocates to stop the genocide and crimes against women and children. The governments that remained silent in the face of these crimes and were partners of the Zionist regime in its crimes, should not be surprised when their interests were targeted. The Palestinian blood spilled in Gaza brings good tidings of a global spring, and also the failure of the colonial projects. The resistance in Gaza will achieve the victory, just as it was achieved in Lebanon. The resistance front has been with the Palestinian resistance since the first day,” noted the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Lebanon in the end.
