    At a commemoration ceremony entitled “Gaza Reporter Martyrs” in Tehran, a special poster commemorating more than 115 martyred journalists in Gaza was unveiled.

    ABWA Official Website – On Monday, January 15, 2023, the commemoration ceremony of “Gaza Reporter Martyrs” was held by ABNA International News Agency, in Tehran.

    The ceremony, attended by international media managers and activists, was held with speeches and video conferences of Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Zaifullah Al-Shami, Minister of Information of Yemen, and figures from Palestine, Yemen, Iraq, Turkey, and Indonesia.

    At the end of the ceremony, a poster dedicated to commemorating more than 115 martyred journalists in Gaza was unveiled.

    Comprehensive report of unveiling ceremony of book collection of Int’l conference of AbuTalib (a.s.)

    With a message of Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani and the speech of Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Ayatollah Marvi, a member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, the 33-volume book collection of the “International Conference of AbuTalib (a.s.) Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” was unveiled.

    ABWA Official Website – On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, with a message from Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani and the speech of Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and Ayatollah Marvi, a member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, the 33-volume book collection of the “International Conference of AbuTalib (a.s.) Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” was unveiled.

    In his message to this ceremony, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani stated, “This precious work of your dear ones and collecting the works and articles and researching, reviewing, and compiling them into a multi-volume collection is very auspicious. AbuTalib (a.s.) is a person whose life is full of honor, and in addition to Shiite scholars, he is also interested by Sunnis. Regarding the history of AbuTalib and his respected father, Ibn Abi al-Hadid says that those dignitaries were the elders of the Quraysh, the Amir, and the Lord of Mecca, and they used to accept and welcome the emigrants and travelers in the city. AbuTalib (a.s.) was born about thirty-five years before the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h). In the books, there are significant discussions about his birth and naming. He later became one of the powerful and influential men of Quraysh, and after the birth of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), he became very fond of him. In Tabaqat al-Kubra, Muhammad bin Saad writes, “The interest was such that AbuTalib’s declaration of friendship to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) was more than his declaration of love for his own children.” He kept the Prophet (p.b.u.h) by his side everywhere. In this regard, the late Allameh Amini and the late Allameh Majlesi said that AbuTalib assigned Ali (a.s.) and his brothers to protect the Prophet (p.b.u.h).”

    Referring to some “enmities” towards the respected uncle of the Holy Prophet (a.s.), this Shiite Marja added, “Such a figure has been hated by some fanatics so that they talk about AbuTalib’s disbelief! In his book Bihar al-Anwar, Allameh Majlesi has dedicated about 150 pages and about 90 hadiths from Shiite and Sunni about the faith of AbuTalib. Allameh Amini has also dedicated about a hundred pages to answer the fanatics in volumes seven and eight of his book Al-Ghadir. He has responded to these haters, most of whom adhere to an unreliable hadith from Mughira bin Shu’ba, who was an enemy of AhlulBayt (a.s.). Also, Haider Qoli Kabuli, known as Sardar Kabuli, has mentioned valuable things in the description of the Lamia Ode by AbuTalib. One of the books that needs attention is the book by Sunni scholar, Al-Sayyid Muhammad bin Rasool al-Barzanji. At the end of his book (سداد الدين و سداد الدين في إثبات النجاة و الدرجات للوالدین), he mentioned important things about AbuTalib’s faith and disbelief, which later became an independent book (بغیة الطالب فی نجاة ابی طالب). Others have also promoted this book in this regard.”

    In his message, while emphasizing saving this figure from oppression, and answering the slanders that have been hurled at him, he said, “In any case, the work is crucial, and this figure must be saved from oppression, and the accusations leveled against him must be answered. This significant work of yours will be very effective. I heard an institution has been established in Qom to research and publish about AbuTalib (a.s.), which is good tidings and auspicious action. There is a lot to say about AbuTalib, but there is no time to say it. I hope that in the published books which include the proceedings and articles of the conference, all its dimensions have been addressed. God willing, respected researchers and honorable scholars will take steps regarding other dignitaries of Islamic and Shiite history, answer the doubts, criticize them in a scientific and scholarly atmosphere, and shed light on the truths of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings.”

    At the end of his message, while expressing his gratitude to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, especially its respected and diligent General Secretary, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani praised all the researchers and organizers for preparing and publishing this 33-volume book.

    At this ceremony, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the holding of the AbuTalib (a.s.) conference and the special attention that the Supreme Leader of the Revolution gave to the conference, said, “Our purpose of holding the AbuTalib (a.s.) conference was not only to prove his faith. Rather, the goal was to revive his character in the Islamic world in addition to proving his faith, and this would provide the basis for Islamic unity in the Islamic world. The AbuTalib (a.s.) is an Islamic and trans-religious personality, and this can lead to the proximity of Islamic schools.”

    Referring to the especial attention of the sources of emulation Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi, Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani, Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani, Grand Ayatollah Sistani, and the late Grand Ayatollah Alavi Gorgani to the holding of the conference of AbuTalib (a.s.), Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “We need the help of all those who can play a role in promoting this culture. We must convey the virtues of the words of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) to the elites and members of human society. The better we can introduce AhlulBayt (a.s.) in the world, the more successful and victorious we will be.”

    Further in the ceremony, Ayatollah Marvi, a member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries, emphasizing the need for the Islamic world to become familiar with the personality of AbuTalib (a.s.) and following the example of this great personality, stated, “The efforts to introduce AbuTalib (a.s.) are valuable. But his life story is capable of more planning, including turning into a TV series.”

    “The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly should try to make the poems of AbuTalib (a.s.) available to scholars and intellectuals. There is a need to include AbuTalib’s poems in the Arabic literature section of seminary textbooks. The poems of this outstanding figure of the Islamic world should be alive in our scientific societies,” added a member of the Society of Qom Seminary teachers.

    “The educational role of AbuTalib (a.s.) is outstanding. One of the highlights that should be noted about him is the upbringing of an influential generation. In every virtuous person in history, the role of AbuTalib’s family can be seen,” Ayatollah Marvi stated.

    At the beginning of this ceremony, after reading the message of Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani, Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, explained the details of holding the “International Conference of AbuTalib (a.s.), the Supporter of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)” that was held in 2019. “The outcome of this conference is the book of the collection of works about AbuTalib (a.s.), which has been compiled in 33 volumes and will be unveiled today.”

    While expressing his appreciation and thanks for the efforts of the scientific council of the AbuTalib (a.s.) Conference, Hojat al-Islam Dr. Farmanian added, “In addition to the efforts of this scientific council, which is composed of intellectual figures, the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly also made a lot of efforts to prepare the collection of works of this conference as soon as possible, so that noble works about AbuTalib (a.s.) can be presented.”

    At the end of this ceremony, in addition to the unveiling of the valuable 33-volume book of the AbuTalib (a.s.) Conference, professors and researchers, as well as the organizers of the AbuTalib Conference, were honored with certificates of appreciation.

    It is worth mentioning that the message of Grand Ayatollah Noori Hamedani was read by Hojat al-Islam Jafari, the head of the Fundamental Studies Section of the Scientific and Cultural Department of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

    Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may blessings and peace be upon our Master and Prophet, Abu Al-Qasim, the Al-Mustafa, Muhammad, and upon his Infallible and Immaculate family, especially the remnant of God on earth, Imam Mahdi (a.s.).

    The message is as follows:

    In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

    “Whenever an Alem (Islamic Scholar) passes away, there is an irreparable breach in Islam that nothing will cover it until the Day of Judgment.”

    The sad passing of Mujahid Allameh and the religious scholar Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Ali Najafi caused great sadness and grief. The deceased was one of the renowned scholars of Pakistan, the founder of Jamiat Al-Kowsar Seminary, and the Chairman of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly in the country and spent his blessed life spreading the teachings of Islam and AhlulBayt (a.s.). By training many students, this assiduous mujahid rendered valuable services for the cause of Islamic unity, disseminating the ideals of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, and the precious teachings of the late Imam Khomeini (r.a.) and the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Imam Khamenei.

    The late Allameh Najafi was educated in the classes of great sources of emulation such as Grand Ayatollah Borujerdi, Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Sayed Abu al-Qasim Khoei, and acquired valuable scientific and spiritual treasures. The deceased had lofty scientific and moral ranks.

    On my behalf and on behalf of the honorable members of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, I express my condolences on this irreparable loss to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, grand sources of emulation, ulama and teachers of the seminary, the honorable and faithful nation of Pakistan, and his respected family. We ask the Almighty God to gather the deceased with saints and Infallible AhlulBayt (a.s.) and grant the bereaved family beautiful patience and great reward.

    In his condolence message on the demise of Allameh Najafi, Ayatollah Ramazani wrote, “This diligent mujahid made many efforts in disseminating the message of Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and the discourse of Imam Khomeini (r.a.). He was a figure who believed in the ideals of the late Imam and considered him to be the revivalist of true Islam in the contemporary era.”

    The demise of Allameh Sheikh Mohsen Ali Najafi, commentator of the Holy Quran, teacher of ethics, prominent Pakistani Shiite figure, prominent member of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly of the country caused great grief and sorrow. This diligent mujahid made many efforts in disseminating the message of Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and the discourse of Imam Khomeini (r.a.). He was a figure who believed in the ideals of the late Imam and considered him to be the revivalist of true Islam in the contemporary era.

    The late Ayatollah Sheikh Mohsen Ali Najafi graduated from the classes of the elders of Najaf Seminary, including Grand Ayatollah Khoei and Grand Ayatollah Martyr Sadr. He was one of the heralds of Shiite and Sunni unity and a sympathizer for Shiites and AhlulBayt (a.s.) followers in Pakistan. He had scientific ranks and great moral character, and for many years he provided scientific, religious, cultural, and social services. Interpretation of the Quran, writing, and translation of religious texts, construction of mosques and educational centers, charitable services to the needy, and media activities were among the services and blessings of his life, which had great effects on the Pakistani society. The scientific and practical life of this religious scholar in sincere servicing the Al-Thaqalayn (AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the Holy Quran) is a good model for scholars, clerics, and clergy.

    I offer my condolences for the loss of this pious scholar to Imam Mahdi (a.s.), the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the grand sources of emulation and ulama, and the friendly and brotherly nation of Pakistan, especially the Shiites, and his honorable family and children; and I ask the Almighty God to grant him the highest ranks.

    He lived well and passed away well.

The Ahlulbayt World Assembly has issued a statement on the Advent of the month of Muharram.

The full text of the statement is as follows: 


In the name of God 

You people are well aware that how this tyrant treated us and our followers. I ask you some questions. Acknowledge my words if I'm right; and deny my sayings if I’m wrong. Listen to my words and then go back to yourself and your tribes; and invite those whom you trust to what you are aware of. I'm afraid that this right will be trampled; however, God completes his light, though the unbelievers do not like it! Know that the villain who is the son of another villain (Ibn Ziad) has placed me between two choices: being killed with swords or living with shame and disgrace. Be aware that we will never accept the shame and disgrace!

We are within the month of Muharram and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein, his household, and companions, peace be upon them. This is the most heartrending tragedy throughout the history of mankind and the greatest reforming movement to fight oppression and corruption. 

Remembrance of Imam Hussein is a heavy responsibility on our shoulders to continue this holy movement and to keep alive its effects within the hearts of people who wish to reform their societies, combat oppression and corruption, and defend the oppressed and the disadvantaged worldwide. 

On this occasion, we are making remarks to those dear ones, who have responsibilities or the role of leadership in societies, to preserve the effects of Imam Hussein’s revolution. 

The Ahlulbayt World Assembly, as a global institution, which has a role of intellectual and cultural authority for millions of Muslims, makes the following recommendations to its members, affiliates, and missionaries: 

1. It is important to highlight the crimes of Zionist regime in occupied Palestine against defenseless Palestinians and Al-Aqsa mosque. It would also be appropriate to point out the American strategy to maintain its hegemony and influence over the region to secure its illegitimate interests, weaken nations, and help dictatorial regimes and terrorist groups. 

2. It is recommended to underline crisis in Muslim countries and to defend Yemen, Bahrain, and Syria as major landmarks of Muslim World. It is also important to disclose the crimes of Saudi regime and other dictatorships in bombing the cities and infrastructures of defenseless countries as well as supporting terrorist groups and fanning the fire of tribal and religious conflicts and destructive wars in the region. 

3. Please be sure to lend a hand to the oppressed and displaced people in Yemen, Myanmar, and Syria by adopting brave stances through statements, and protest rallies and gatherings against tyrannical governments and rulers. Please also embark on providing humanitarian, medical and financial assistance to displaced people of abovementioned countries. 

4. We urge all you dear brothers and sisters to organize meetings and gatherings attended by Muslim and non-Muslim scholars and intellectuals to disclose the crimes of Al Saud and Al Khalifa regimes against the people of ​​al-Awamiya and Bahrain as well as the crimes of Buddhist regime in Myanmar. 

While condemning these brutal crimes, the Ahlulbayt World Assembly invites all Muslim scholars and Islamic and Human Rights organizations to condemn these crimes and criminals and provide humanitarian assistance such as medical items, foodstuffs and money to these innocent people as soon as possible. 

We also appeal to all scholars of the Islamic World to work on strengthening unity among Muslims especially in the current situation of Islamic Ummah, and to take advantage of the opportunity of the month of Muharram to raise awareness among people about the movement of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and to encourage them to take lessons from the event of Karbala revolution to confront oppression and combat the aggressors of our time and the modern ignorance. 

The Ahlulbayt World Assembly asks all preachers and religious poets to safeguard the dignity and sanctity of the pulpits of Imam Hussein (pbuh) by avoiding superstitious or invented concepts about Imam Hussein and his revolution. Instead, we suggest to mention the virtues and merits of Imam Hussein and the philosophy of his movement by referring to the original and reliable resources. We should take the opportunity of Ashura to promote the intellectual and spiritual dimension of the Islamic society. 

At the end, we extend our heartfelt condolences on the occasion of Muharram to all the believers who follow the teachings of Ahlulbayt and to those who love the thoughts of Imam Hussein. 

We hope that all of us can take the values of Imam Hussein’s movement and his school of martyrdom as a role model for ourselves in order to be put into practice in our present and future lives.
