Seminary must be demanding in religious, cultural fields: Ayatollah Ramazani
The representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts stated, “The seminary should be demanding in religious and cultural fields. Ulama and clerics are the real border guards of Islam.”
ABWA Official Website – On Thursday, July 20, 2023, in the meeting with the clergy and clerics of Rudsar Seminary, Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “In order for the clergy to be up-to-date, training sessions should be held for them. Today, seminaries must train clerics who are at the level of the Islamic Revolution and the international arena. The seminary should be demanding in religious and cultural fields.”
“Religion [Islam] is a comprehensive program and we should not have a minimal view of it,” he added, “The West is trying to limit religion, and it does not have a governance view and social responsibility towards it.”
“The Eastern Bloc argued that ‘religion is mankind’s opium’. On the other hand, the West said that ‘people turned to religion because of the lack of science’. Westerners consider religion to be superstitious and unreal, and they stand against the truth of religion, God, Imams, and the Prophet,” continued the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
“Imam Khomeini (r.a.) revived the social sphere of religion, and today, Islam is proudly present in the world. We must introduce pure Islam, which is comprehensive, accurate, and deep, to humanity,” he expressed.
“Today’s method in the Western world is ultra-modern exploitation of humanity, something that Islam has stood against,” he continued.
“The most prestigious universities in the world are studying and researching religion. In the past, Westerners used to fight against spirituality. But today, there are about 4,000 fake spiritual sects in America and around the world. The West is seriously dealing with the spiritual, intellectual, and ideological crisis,” added the representative of the people of Gilan in the Assembly of Leadership Experts.
On the Ashura uprising Ayatollah Ramazani expressed, “We must properly introduce and analyze the cause of Ashura for others.”
“Islam strongly opposes going to extremes, and it is a religion of rationality,” in the end Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly said, “Ulama and clerics are the real border guards of religion.”
