ABWA Official Website – On Thursday, July 6, 2023, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly met with the members of the Narowali Khajegan Association of Lahore.
Stating that Ghadir is the greatest Eid of Islam, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “We must know how to connect prophethood to Ghadir, Ghadir to Ashura, and Ashura to Mahdism.”
Regarding the duties of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), he stated, “Teaching the book (Quran), purifying human souls, explaining the verses, and ruling justice were among the duties of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) in the Islamic society. The question is, after the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h), who will fulfill his duties and explain the religion (Islam)? The successor of the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h) should be the Door of Wisdom. In this regard, the Prophet (p.b.u.h) himself said, “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its door.” This hadith and many other hadiths have been narrated about the status of Imam Ali (a.s.).”
“Everyone accepts the scientific and spiritual authority of Imam Ali (a.s.), and it is his political authority that is disputed,” added Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
“One of Ghadir’s teachings is that whoever is assigned to any job should be one of the best. Another teaching of Ghadir is that people play a role in their destiny. After the introduction of Imam Ali (a.s.) on the day of Ghadir, Muslims pledged allegiance to him within three days, and congratulated him. Therefore, it is necessary for Muslims to play role in their destiny even today,” he said about Ghadir’s important teaching.
About the duties of Shiites today, the professor of higher levels of the seminary expressed, “Imam Musa Sadr said “Today some people talk about virtues and courage of Imam Ali (a.s.) to introduce him. While the followers of Imam Ali (a.s.) should introduce the Imam by their conduct.”
At the beginning of this meeting, Hojat al-Islam Mursali gave a eulogy and a short speech about Ghadir Eid.
Also, some members of Narowali Khajegan Association of Lahore presented a report about the religious, cultural and social activities of the association.
