A consultative meeting was held between the officials of the Office for the Scientific and Cultural of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly and the officials of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor) in the meeting hall of the Assembly in Qom.

On the Monday morning, October 18, 2021, a consultative meeting of the officials of the Office of the Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly with the officials of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor) was held in the meeting hall of the Assembly in Qom.

At the beginning of the meeting, the deputy for scientific and cultural affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “We are looking to use all the capacities of cyberspace.”

“We launched the “Rahnama Portal” in 47 languages in which we have tried to publish all the topics and scientific needs of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” said Hojat al-Islam Ahmad Ahmadi Tabar, explaining the activities of the Office for the Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the Assembly in the field of cyberspace in the new phase.

“Also, for the “digital library”, a detailed process was defined, and we held various meetings. We collected suitable content for the digital library from Iraq, the Indian subcontinent, etc. We intend to upload all works in this library with appropriate capabilities,” he added.

“In the new phase, due to the importance of cyberspace, the General Directorate of Cyberspace was established in the Office for the Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the Assembly, whose mission is to monitor cyberspace, produce content, and form a human and media network for Shiites,” said the Deputy for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, on the Assembly’s attention to the issue of cyberspace.

“We held a meeting with cyberspace activists and benefited from the views of experts to better advance the situation,” he continued.

“We are associated with at least 7,000 preachers worldwide, and we can provide them with content in cyberspace by forming a network,” stated Ahmadi Tabar, on the activities of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly in the international arena.

“In the General Directorate of Education, good and strong students from different countries have been identified for training, in order to be a strong human force in the fields of management and propagation for the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he added.

Referring to the activities of Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor), Hojat al-Islam Ahmadi Tabar said, “This center has taken the first step in the field of computer activities, has a lot of experience, and can cooperate with the Aassembly in the field of virtual activities.”

Any activity without the use of cyberspace is doomed to failure

Following the meeting, the head of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor) said, “The principle of cooperation of the institutions of the Revolutionary Front is essential. There are many technical and content infrastructures in Noor Computer Center.”

“We have had cooperation with the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, and I hope that this cooperation will be more and wider,” added Hojat al-Islam Dr. Mohammad Hossein Bahrami.

“The Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor) was established to facilitate researchers’ access to Islamic resources. The center focuses on specialized areas and specialists in its activities. In this center, most of the main resources in all fields of Islamic sciences have become available content, in the form of software, websites, etc.,” he said about the purpose of establishing Noor Computer Center.

“The center is moving towards knowledge known in the world as digital humanities-Islamic sciences. Because today, the steps have gone beyond, and the machine takes the steps of research and processing,” added the head of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor).

“The “Noormags” website has provided all the journals of Islamic-humanities in full text from 120 years ago, and even Western university centers refer to this site. Also, in the digital library of Noor Computer Center, seventy thousand books have been uploaded and almost half of the visits to the website are from abroad,” he said, referring to the virtual activities of Noor Computer Center.

“Today, any activity without the use of cyberspace is doomed to failure, and grand religious centers in other countries have large investments in cyberspace,” he said in the end, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor) and the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Then, the officials of the Office for Scientific and Cultural Affairs of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly talked and exchanged views with the officials of the Computer Research Center of Islamic Sciences (Noor).

The Ahl al-Bayt World Assembly  is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) that was established by a group of Shiite elites under the supervision of the great Islamic authority of the Shiites in 1990 to identify, organize, educate and support the followers of Ahl al-Bayt.
