The head of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, said, “The late Pishvaee was an undisputed professor of Islamic history and the political life of the Imams (a.s.). The life of the Imams (a.s.) is important for Muslims”

On the occasion of the 7^th day of the demise of the divine scholar and pious professor, Hojat al-Islam Haj Sheikh Mahdi Pishvaee, a virtual commemoration ceremony was held with speeches by scholars and professors of the seminary.

The ceremony was held on Monday evening, August 23, 2021, with the participation of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Arbaeen Cultural Headquarters, World Assembly of Shiite Studies, Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, Center for Islamic Seminary Management, and Association of Seminary Historians.

As another speaker of the commemoration ceremony for the late Pishvaee, Hojat al-Islam Najaf Lakzai, the head of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy, said, “The late Pishvaee was an undisputed professor of Islamic history and the political life of the Imams (a.s.). The political life of the Imams (a.s.) is important for Muslims and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, society-building based on Islam and Islamic models became the basis of all affairs. According to the Quran, the way to build a society is to follow role models.”

“If one succeeds in discovering patterns and acting on those patterns, one will reach felicity. But if he does not discover these patterns and goes the wrong way, he will not reach his destination and he will go astray,” continued Hojat al-Islam Najaf Lakzai.

“The activities of the late Professor Pishvaee are important because he went into the history of Islam and organized important researches and studies, nurtured many students and researchers, and supervised important dissertations,” he added.

Referring to the book “Sire-ye Pishvayan” (The Life of Leaders), Lakzai stated, “This book of the late Pishvaee, is a textbook and one of the resources that are introduced to the clergies and students.”

“For history, there are grounds for misunderstanding. Because the researcher in history deals with the selection of data, he or she may be misled instead of guided,” he continued.

“By focusing on research into the history of Islam, the late Pishvaee stopped those who, in their research, emphasized Muashtabah (allegorical) matters in order to mislead the path of guidance. He helped to identify the right path, because it is possible to understand the Muhkamat and Mutashabihat (decisive and allegorical matters) by focusing on the “Raskhoon fi al-Alam” (those who are firm in the knowledge) tradition, that is, the infallible Imams (a.s.),” noted the head of the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy.
