On Wednesday evening, October 17, 2018, Members of the academic council of the International Conference "Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.); protector of the Great Prophet (p.b.u.h)" and Secretary General AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, met the source of emulation, Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani and talked to him.
In the meeting, expressing satisfaction with the activities of the Secretary General of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani, addressed Hojat al-Islam Akhtari, "I appreciate you and your friends who put the issue of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) in your agenda."
"Indeed, Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is a great figure and it is our duty as Shiites, and Muslims in general, to try as much as possible to identify and introduce that noble man and the works attributed to him - such as Lamia poem and other poems and services", Ayatollah Safi added.
Referring to the activities of the "Institute for Research and Publication of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.)" in Qom, the high professor of the seminary of the city stated, "Of course, some work has been done so far, but it is not so comprehensive. Mr. Sabahi (in Institute for Research and Publication of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.)) has done some work and I am aware of it. But more significant work needs to be done in this area."
Noting to the writings of some Sunni scholars in praise of the Prophet's uncle (Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s)) Ayatollah Safi, continued, "The character of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is also important for the Sunnis and they agree with our view and belief. They have also written some books in this regard. I suggest that these books be collected and published.
"We have neglected Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s) and we must compensate. You have made a good decision; because the revival of the personality of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) is the revival of the whole religion", Ayatollah Safi emphasized.
I am very happy with your action and I pray for you. I am also very happy and appreciate you for your hard work and this meeting. I wish your luck by God's grace", Ayatollah Safi said in the end.
* We are going to introduce the oppressed character of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) to Muslims and non-Muslims of the world
At the beginning of the meeting, Hojat al-Islam Mohammad Akhtari, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, sincerely appreciate Ayatollah Safi Golpayegani for receiving the academic council of the conference and said, "We have long considered holding a conference or congress to honor the character of the father of the (Shiite) Imams, Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). Because no conference has been held so far for him since the Islamic Revolution."
"By the grace of God and the pursuit and efforts of friends and enthusiasts, and with the cooperation of international centers and institutions, the holding of the International Conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) was approved and we are going to hold it in 2019. So far, several meetings have been held on the required topics, including the main and sub-axes of the call for papers, and the conference poster is also being finalized. I hope that we will be able to achieve good results as much as possible in the Assembly and partner centers to introduce the oppressed personality of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) to the enthusiasts and other Muslims and non-Muslims around the world", He added
"We ask you, as a compassionate person and interested in spreading the teachings of the AhlulBayt (a.s), to help us with your guidance and advice so that I and my friends in the Academic Council of the Conference can use them in holding the conference to increase its achievements and blessings. In the meantime, if your honorable condition was favorable, we ask you to write a message or a poem about Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) so that, God willing, we can use and publish it in the conference, which is held with the presence of personalities from inside and the outside the country", Akhtari asked Ayatollah Safi.
"We present to you the book "Diwan-e Keramat" which was published in the International Congress of the Grandson of the Prophet, Imam Hassan Mojtaba (a.s.). In the book, your poem (about Imam Hassan) along with a collection of poems by other poets has been published", Akhtari concluded.
* The activities of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) Research Institute in 3 fields
The head of the Research and Publication Institute of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), Hojat al-Islam "Sabahi Kashani", also in the meeting said, "We have been active in three fields about About Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.). The first issue is the poems written by Hazrat Aboutaleb, about which 10 books by Shiite and Sunni authors have been identified and researched and are almost ready for publication. Another issue is about introducing the nobleman to different strata of the people, seminarians and academics inside and outside the country, and it requires you and other sources of imitation and seminary officials and personalities to guide so that people become more aware of his noble personality and services."
Explaining the third filed of the activities of the Abu Talib (a.s.) Institute, Sabahi said: "One of our goals is to answer the questions, ambiguities and doubts raised by the enemies of Shiite, such as the Wahhabis and Nawasib, in social networks and the media. Another part of what we are going to do is collect the articles and writings that Sunni writers have in praise of Abu Talib (as). We have collected them and we are going to publish them in 20 titles.
