In this statement, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “The people of the world should know that the images they now see of the invasion, violence, destruction, and killing of Palestinian women and children are not all sufferings of an oppressed nation, nor are they new. Rather, land grabbing, forced migration, displacing people from their homeland, mass murder, torture, imprisonment, child murder, killing defenseless women, insulting the Palestinians sanctities, and state terrorism, is the true story of a regime that has been emerged from this spot of the world for decades like a cancerous tumor.”

These days, the sad issue of Palestine, this old wound on the body of the Islamic world, has once again attracted the attention of the world and has disturbed the leaders of the Islamic countries from their slumber. Perhaps some time ago, when some of these rulers attempted to “normalize relations with the usurping enemy”, they did not imagine in their illusions that in less than a few months, a global uprising in the occupied territories would disgrace these compromisers in such a disgraceful way, and invalidate their agreements.

But now, what we are witnessing in various areas of Palestine, in addition to exposing to the world the crimes of the filthy and inhumane regime of Israel, also exposed the treacherous nature of any attempt to normalize relations with these criminals. This time, the destruction of media offices, the management of social networks to delete messages, and the attempt to shut down the free flow of information have not yielded any gains for the occupiers and their supporters.

But it is crucial for the people of the world to know that the images they now see of the invasion, violence, destruction, and killing of Palestinian women and children are not all sufferings of an oppressed nation, nor are they new. In addition to all these tragedies, the inefficiency of international institutions and the passivity of Arab and Islamic organizations is a more painful and unfortunate tragedy that rubs salt into this opened wound. As the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly – an international organization of which hundreds of elites and thinkers from around the world are members – on behalf of the members of this Assembly, emphasizing the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to return to their homes, I denounce the heinous crimes of the Zionists.

Also, I insist on the principled solution of “a referendum of all the main inhabitants of Palestine to determine the fate of this country” as the only legal and realistic solution. This is a progressive and conventional solution that is endorsed by all the people of the world and most of the member states of the United Nations, and it can put an end to all this oppression, violence, and bloodshed.

But to see the day when this solution is accepted by the authoritarian tyrants and materialistic supporters of the usurper regime, the right path passes through the two passages of “internal resistance”, and “external support”. The internal resistance is now being carried out by the zealous Palestinian youth and mujahideen, and in just these few days, more than 200 martyrs and hundreds of wounded have been sacrificed so far. To continue this endurance, they need external support.

Therefore, in addition to the constant invitation of the governments of the world, the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, human rights associations, and international organizations to carry out their duties in defense of the oppressed, this time, in particular, I call on the “scholars of religions and sects” to mobilize their institutions and followers, to bring them to the stage to support the rights of the Palestinian people and to expose the occupation and the crimes of the Zionists, and do not leave the field until the final result is achieved.

The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is also ready to support these humanitarian and anti-violent actions, with all the spiritual, legal, content, and media facilities at its disposal, and it is also ready to host meetings for scholars to reflect on, in order to expedite the process of holding the above-mentioned referendum.
