Ayatollah Ramazani, Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stated, “The 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly is being held with the motto “AhlulBayt (a.s.), the axis of rationality, justice and dignity”. This motto was chosen based on the current conditions of the region and the world.”

On Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the opening ceremony of the 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani said, “This assembly is one of the fruits of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, led by the grand source of emulation, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khomeini (r.a.), and was formed at the suggestion of a group of ulama and intellectuals of the Shia world, with the approval of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei.”

Secretary-General of the World Assembly of AhlulBayt (a.s.) added, “During the 32 years of activity, the Assembly has achieved valuable achievements and I would like to appreciate the efforts of all the previous Secretaries General, members of the Supreme Council and the General Assembly, and organizers of this institution in the past and present.”

“According to the demand and order of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, the new era of activity of the Assembly is the era of change in the approach, structures, methods and performance of this international organization of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he stated.

Further, while explaining the reason for the hiatus in holding the Assembly, Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized, “Due to the outbreak of the of Covid-19 evil virus, and adherence to the imperative protocols of the authorities, 7^th General Assembly has unfortunately been held with a three-year hiatus.”

“Today, with the efforts of my colleagues in the secretariat for in months to hold the 7^th Assembly conference, and by inviting the members of the General Assembly, fortunately, with all the existing conditions, we see the participation and presence of a large number of Assembly members from 117 countries,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“In addition to the guests, today the 7^th General Assembly officially opened with the presence of prominent religious, scientific and cultural figures, and economic activists from the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.), including a group of honorable sisters, with the presence of the esteemed President of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he added.

“Visiting the shrine of Imam Khomeini (r.a.) and renewing the covenant with his ideals, meeting with the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, and participating in Friday prayers of Tehran are among the programs of the 7^th General Assembly. Also, regional commissions will be held in the three areas of Asia and Oceania, Africa and Arab countries and Europe and Americas, as well as the economic commission of the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.),” Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized.

“Special meetings for academics and women, the unveiling of WikiShia in five new languages, and proceedings and works of the international conference of Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.) 21 Persian and Arabic volumes, will be held in the conference,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The unveiling of the book Companions of the Assembly as a memorial of martyred and deceased members of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, as well as an intimate meeting with the Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs to learn about the latest developments of the region (western Asia) are among the other programs of the conference,” he expressed.

“The 7^th General Assembly of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly will be held with the motto “AhlulBayt (a.s.), the axis of Rationality, Justice and Dignity”. This motto was chosen based on the current conditions of the region and the world,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“Today, the people of the world, especially the Islamic Ummah and the Shiite communities, need rationality, justice and human dignity more than ever to overcome the current crises and challenges. This approach is to face the efforts of the global domination system that wants to pursue its unilateralist hegemony through military attacks and occupation or supporting the usurpers, looting the wealth of nations and confiscating their independent will,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“By creating division between Muslims and the freedom seeker oppressed, preventing the progress of nations in various fields, including in the field of science and technology, deepening the development gap in the world, and generalizing ignorance and deviation of minds from religious foundations, the enemy wants to impose vices against human nature, and absolute pleasure seeking on the world,” he mentioned.

Referring to the anti-colonial approach and actions of Muslim nations, especially the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.), Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “This approach is carried out following the master and lord of martyrs, Imam Hussain (a.s.), who is the main freedom seeker and the one who fought against arrogance and oppression in the world.”

“Along with other believers in pure Muhammadan Islam, the followers of AhlulBayt (a.s.), in addition to defending the usurped land, the oppressed people, and the cause of Palestine as the main issue of the world and the Islamic Ummah, they want to fight against the ruinous crises made by colonialism, to realize the uprising of the Ummah and Islamic unity,” he stated.

“One of the clear examples of the fights against colonialism is the confrontation of the Resistance Front against radical, takfiri and terrorist movements for more than a decade. These movements have always taken steps towards the interests of the United States and Zionism with war and brutal bloodshed and murder in the name of identity and religion,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“The cost of war and bloodshed has been paid by the orphans of Muhammad (p.b.u.h) in the countries of the region, especially in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Bahrain, Yemen and even Kashmir, Afghanistan and Pakistan,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The land of Iraq, which hosts the holy shrines of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) and a large number of their followers, today is suffering from conflict, chaos, ignoring the mechanisms of law and constitutional rights, which can be led to the enemy’s greed to return to the past and the era of dictatorship,” he emphasized.

“The oppressed people and innocent children of Yemen are suffering from poverty and hunger and the loss of their lives and their loved ones as a result of the war and continuous bombardment. Citizens of Bahrain and Afghanistan are still struggling to achieve their citizenship rights and human dignity,” he stated.

“In Kashmir and Pakistan, Shiites are still exposed to violence and the use of force and subversive actions of Takfiri groups. Islamic Iran, as the vanguard of the resistance movement against oppression, arrogance, occupation, and compromise with the enemies of the ummah, is facing the most oppressive economic sanctions in history,” Ayatollah Ramazani said.

“If there were no effort to gain power, regional pacts and resistance to threats to create deterrence, Islamic Iran would have no better fate than other countries of the region,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Referring to the organized attack and global soft war against the Islamic world and Shiism to overthrow or weaken the faith of the people, especially the youth, he said, “Western colonialism led by America knows very well that with the collapse of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War and the attempt to create a unipolar world by imposing the unilateralist domination of the United States, it is only the Islamic world that stands against expansionism, autocracy, narcissism and the continued looting of nations’ wealth.”

Pointing out the neutralization of the enemy’s plot and operations by the resistance axis, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Today, distortion of religious and national identity, promotion of hedonism, promiscuity, drugs, homosexuality, attack on religious beliefs and principles and rulings, propagation of atheism and secularism and confronting the return of religion in society, government and international relations are among the most important dimensions of soft war.”

“Today, the enemy is widely using all the facilities of traditional and modern cyberspace media, social networks, creating research centers and cyber armies to deepen the gap between people and religious foundations. These measures are taken to inculcate Western and colonial values, thereby preventing any movement that threatens Western capitalist interests,” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Following the field victories and the defeat of the plots of the enemies organized by international Zionism, takfiri groups and compromisers of relations with the Zionist enemy, the confrontation with these threats is possible just with deepening the awareness and responsibility of all Muslims and the followers of the path of AhlulBayt (a.s.) and the Holy Prophet (p.b.u.h),” he stated.

“The enemy is trying to impose ignorance on the nations, which is the biggest threat to the human and Islamic society today,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “This enemies’ policy makes our duty heavier. Because the Lord and Master of the Freedom-seekers, sacrificed his life to remove such dangerous ignorance and revive the path of truth.”

“The developments of the contemporary world are not just the political and field developments. Rather, it seeks to remove religion from the social arena and international relations and wants to make it exclusive to the realm of rituals and individual duties,” noted the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Suspicion and casting doubt on the civilizational and social dimensions of religion is another plan of the enemies. This is the reason why increasing insight is the best way to revive Islam, the greatness and glory of Islam and to fulfill the will of Almighty God for exalting the word of God,” he added.

“By the jihad of enlightenment, the Supreme Leader of the Revolution means the universal development of the Islamic insight for all Muslims,” Ayatollah Ramazani expressed.

“Honoring the believer of Quraish, Hazrat Abu Talib (a.s.), the uncle of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and the father of his successor, Imam Ali (a.s.), in the 7^th General Assembly, has been a proper action. Abu Talib (a.s.) is the epitome of awareness, insight, and resistance in defending the truth in the battle against the enemy,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“The revival of the glory and greatness of Islam and the Islamic Ummah depend on the firm determination of all of us Muslims and followers of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) school in deepening awareness, scientific growth and increasing insight in facing soft war,” he said.

“The AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly has started its plans to create change in all fields, which should ultimately lead to transformation in Shiite societies,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated.

“We shake the hands of all scholars, elites and committed activists to present their views for AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly to realize its objectives. We use these comments to create change and leap in the path ahead of us, as well as cooperation and practical participation,” he stated.

“Certainly, this cooperation, synergy and general participation can pave our way to the realize the new Islamic civilization, which is a divine, humane and comprehensive civilization that prepares the Reappearance of the Savior of humanity (Imam Mahdi),” Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized.

“The means and software of this movement is the study of the Islamic lifestyle, based on the teachings of the Immaculate Imams (a.s.),” added the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

“Promoting the Islamic and Alavi lifestyle, cooperation and increasing the power of Muslims who follow AhlulBayt (a.s.) and vigilance in the face of challenges and threats is dependent on rationality, justice and dignity. The vanguard of these values ​​are AhlulBayt (a.s.),” he stated.

“I hope that all ulama, thinkers and guests of the 7^th General Assembly will enrich its achievements with their continuous and active presence in the sessions,” he said in the end.
