Man won’t be perfected without considering ethics: Ayatollah Ramazani

On Tuesday, October 5, 2021, on the evening ceremony of the demise of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and the martyrdom of Imam Hassan (a.s.), in the Martyrs of Zahab Square, pointing out that many important issues that have occurred in human society are due to moral and immoral issues, Ayatollah Reza Ramazani stated, “Wherever morality prevails, both the individual and society benefit equally, and where moral values do not prevail, everyone suffers.”

“All moral virtues, if examined, will perfect the individual and society,” the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly added, “Lying, cunning, trickery, etc. are anti-values and bring the man down.”

“An immoral society is a low society,” he considered, “There are people in society who are believers, and pray, but have not grown enough in ethical issues.”

“Ethics is related to rules and beliefs,” Ayatollah Ramazani emphasized, “Certainly, one’s theology affects one’s truthfulness or lying. A believer pious person takes care of his eyes and language.”

“Beliefs will be valuable if they influence our behavior,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, stating that human beings cannot reach perfection without considering the moral spheres.

Wise, realistic, compassionate criticism always possible

“On the Day of Judgment, good-natured people will be in good condition. While the immoral ones, even if they have prayed in the world, must be held accountable for their immorality,” he added, emphasizing that beliefs, rules, and ethics are closely related to each other.

“The world has concluded to moral principles that are accepted by all human societies,” Ayatollah Ramazani clarified, “These principles, called the Golden Rules, are exemplified by “treat others as you would like to be treated”,”

“Wise, realistic, and compassionate criticism is always possible” emphasized the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, referring to the issue of criticism in the political, cultural, and social fields.

“In the field of research, there is a detailed verbal and theoretical critique,” he added, “Criticism makes people grow. The more accurate the critique, the more it will grow.”

“Our meetings for the AhlulBayt (a.s.) should be accompanied by moral and spiritual growth,” Ayatollah Ramazani pointed out, “If these meetings have no impression on us, and there is no difference in our presence or absence, it means that we have not benefited.”

In today’s human society, paying attention to global ethics is a necessity

“In today’s human society, paying attention to global ethics is a necessity,” the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “It is necessary to get acquainted with the principles of universal ethics.”

“We are proud that our Prophet (p.b.u.h) had the highest morality, so that God praises him,” he added, “The outstanding personality of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) influential the society with his moral qualities.”

“By studying the moral crisis in the time of the Prophet (p.b.u.h), we see that with his morality he performed miracles. This led to a moral transformation in that society,” Ayatollah Ramazani added.

“Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) with his morality, educated human beings and provided the necessary solutions for them,” the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly pointed out, “All the moral attributes of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) were exemplary. So that the Holy Quran introduced him as a model of human society.”

“If a man has a guiding role, he must have “Sharh Sadr” (literary means expansion of breast: enduring, patience). The Prophet endured the insults of the enemies,” he emphasized, pointing out to the “Sharh Sadr” attribute of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h).

“Kindness, compassion, and gentleness were other attributes of Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h),” Ayatollah Ramazani said, “If a man enters his house with good morals, he can create purity and intimacy in the family.”

“When a person pays attention to the philosophy of creation, there is no justification for immorality,” stated the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.

Divine prophets (a.s.), pillars of mysticism, knowledge of human societies

“A religious and believing person can play a role in the life of human beings,” he said, introducing the divine prophets (a.s.) as the pillars of mysticism and knowledge of human societies.

“In the contemporary century, unfortunately, many people were killed because of their race and skin color,” Ayatollah Ramazani stated, “The society will be peaceful when there is no difference between skin color, race, and being small or large. Rather, the difference between individuals is solely due to moral values.”

“The Prophet suffers for the sufferings of the people. He welcomed everyone with open arms and was the father of the Ummah,” said the Secretary-General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, pointing out that the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) was greedy in guiding the people.

“The compassionate role of a religious leader brings peace to the society,” he stated, adding that the Prophet was very worried and sad for the Hereafter of his Ummah.

“Today’s society needs ethics more,” Ayatollah Ramazani said, emphasizing that Medina had grown a lot in the field of morality with the presence of the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h).
