Palestine’s issue, concern of whole Islamic world: Ayatollah Ramazani
Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly stated, “We must be worried about what is happening in the Islamic world, and how Muslims and their Islamic sanctities are dealt with. The issue of Palestine and the oppression that is perpetrated against Palestinian Muslims is a concern for the entire Muslim world.”
ABWA Official Website – Gathering in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, Islamic missionaries from various East African countries presented their views on the latest ways of spreading the AhlulBayt (a.s.) teachings.
Ayatollah Ramezani, Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly who participated in this gathering as a special guest, while referring to the duties of ulama, stated, “It is our duty to revive the remembrance of God in the hearts and minds of the people, and this is a great responsibility. Ulama and missionaries are inheritors of the prophetic mission of guiding society.”
“Being a missionary, teacher, and trainer, are among the duties of an Islamic scholar. We must be diligent in performing our duties,” he continued.
“Before anyone else, a missionary must train himself first, then train others. He/she should improve propagational methods, skills, and innovations, and learn new tools. It is necessary for missionaries to benefit from modern tools to propagate Islam and answer doubts,” added the Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly.
Referring to the need for missionaries to pay attention to today’s developments in the world, Ayatollah Ramazani said, “Missionaries should pay attention to intellectual, moral, political, cultural, and social needs in their speeches. Also, they need to adapt religious rules and regulations to the issues of the day. Otherwise, we may hold mourning ceremonies on Ashura day, but be indifferent to the oppression by today’s followers of Yazid.”
“We must be worried about what is happening in the Islamic world, and how Muslims and their Islamic sanctities are dealt with. The issue of Palestine and the oppression that is perpetrated against Palestinian Muslims is a concern for the entire Muslim world. If we are not vigilant, they will turn Islam upside down so that nothing remains of Islamic beliefs and rituals,” he added.
Secretary General of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly emphasized, “Africa is a rich continent and has many capacities. But this wealth should be spent for African people themselves.”
“We must believe in organization and organizational work. The organization brings strength, and movement in this direction requires unity,” he said in the end.
